It's called the Miracle in Murray. As we celebrate the Racers' 100th football season in 2024, we're taking some in depth looks at some of the greatest football moments in Murray State history. In 2018, the Racers hosted SEMO and fell behind 31-0. The comeback is the thing of legend and so is kick returner Malik Honeycut who changed the game for the Racers.

Celebrating the 100th season of Murray State Football, we continue our deep dives into some of the greatest moments of the previous 99 seasons for the Racers. In 2002, Shane Andrus was in the right place, at the right time to deliver the Racers the Ohio Valley Conference Championship. The Missouri Valley Conference held its summer men’s basketball coach catch ups. Comments from MVC commissioner Jeff Jackson, and Murray State head coach Steve Prohm.

With preparations in full go for the Murray State Racers, we catch up with rookie head coach Jody Wright as the team is soon opening up the program's 100th season. It was an amazing night when Ja Morant was inducted into the Murray State Hall of Fame on July 27, 2024. Listen to the entire awards dinner as the Racer great was enshrined into the MSU Hall.

Murray State's Ivan Roe is set to compete for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in France and new Racers' head football coach Jody Wright commented on his first team at Missouri Valley Football Conference Media Day. Plus a preview of Ja Morant's induction to the Murray State Hall of Fame this weekend in Murray.

Our top story this week is Murray State Baseball getting two draft choices by Major League Baseball for the first time since 1994 and only the second time since 1965. Cade Vernon (RHP) was taken by the San Francisco Giants in the 10th round and Drew Vogel (SS) was selected by the Houston Astros in the 15th round. Also big news from MSU men's golf as Sam Guest and Trey Wall are set to play in a pair of national events at the PGA Junior Championship and United States Amateur.

This fall is Murray State's 100th football season and we are celebrating with special memories of team and player accomplishments. In 2016, KD Humphries hit Jesse Backburn for what looked to be a short pass. However, it turned into a program record 87-yard touchdown pass. In our continuing trip down memory lane of 100 seasons of Murray State Football, we look back to an amazing play by MSU Hall of Famer Walter Powell. In 2012, as he was building a resume that led to him being an NFL Draft selection, Powell stunned SEMO with a 100-yard punt return for a touchdown. Also in news of the week from the Racers, we catch up with 400M Hurdles star, Cheby Melvin, as she represents Murray State at the USA Track & Field Trials.

This week we continue our celebration of 100 seasons of Murray State Football with the 62-yard field goal by Paul Hickert in 1986. Now 38 seasons later and Hickert's awesome kick remains the Racers' program and OVC record. Plus the news of the week from Murray State Athletics including the anticipation of Ja Morant's MSU Hall of Fame night at Racer Hoopalooza on July 27.
