DEP Episode 2 Opting-In: Choice or Commitment?
Opting-In is part of the why we need to think about creating a Daily Equity Practice. We touch on scarcity, vulnerability, and more when it comes to opting in.
The idea of Opt-In. What does this mean, and why should we? Let's step back to understand better the concept of a scarcity mindset that impacts our purpose and value. We ask ourselves what aligns with our purpose. We talked about moving it from a choice into a commitment. We define what the scarcity mindset is and where vulnerability is from within our core.
Ask yourself, What does the scarcity mindset of not enough look like for me?

DEP Episode Episode 4 Adaptability: Align Your Purpose
What goes into adapting to your specific circumstances, and how can adaptability help you to evolve?
Let's talk about ability. How to be adaptable? What are the ways of knowing as an Adaptable Leader to engage in adapting to a Daily Equity Practice? Why is it important to be open to change and flexible? When we think about taking this a step further, how do we see life through another person's eyes? What would it mean when life is not just about me? We talk about all of these questions and more.
We discovered that our impact on each other and how we feel about it is another way to view Adaptability. We look at how to be present in the now and how that is related to Adapting. More importantly, what does Adaptability have to do with your Why and Purpose? Let's dig in.

DEP Episode 3 Accountability: Honor your Why
What goes into how accountability for anyone works or doesn't, and why is it important to look at your accountability?
Think about this.
"I believe I'm going to be accountable for doing my work; I'm going to be accountable for moving through when shame and grief show up in this work. I'm going to be accountable for moving through it and understanding it and transcending it, and not being it is why I'm going to opt out, right? I'm going to be accountable to move through it, which means I believe in myself enough that I can do this. And like when we hold someone else accountable, what we're really saying is, I believe in you enough, that I am going to trust that you're going to follow through on this need to ourselves, as I believe in me enough that I'm going to follow through on this."
Let's dig into being Accountable to help you create a Daily Equity Practice.

ITTA Episode 5 Be Connected
In this episode of the It's Time to Adapt series, Carole Burton of Radiance Resources and podcast host of Radiance Real Talk talks with Tracy Y. Washington of the Relationship Leadership Philosophy about how we behave in the workplace, home, and community. We know that when stress at work increases, we take that tension into our homes. When leaders choose to work on themselves, employees notice this shift in the organization's culture. There is a direct correlation. Hence, employees will gain a sense of trust. There is an opening for everyone to engage and contribute. This step is essential when adapting. When the leader decides to work on their fears and concerns, the adapting process begins. The same happens at home. We chose to talk about the workplace environment because when we adapt, the environment's vibe shifts. When we work to improve, we evolve. When we work on ourselves, we lead.
From a listener: "I enjoy the discussions Carole and Tracy have and the focus they bring on leaders. These episodes make me think of my leaders, present, past, and future, and which of them I looked up to and which of them had or openly worked on the skills discussed in this podcast."

ITTA Episode 4 Be Uncomfortable
In this episode of the It's Time to Adapt series, Tracy Y. Washington and Radiance Real Talk host Carole Burton, associates in Professional Development, talks about how people change when they choose to opt-in and sit in uncomfortable when they find themselves in an awkward situation. We invite leaders to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. We're asking leaders to permit themselves to explore the pinpoints and freely walk through this phase. We want leaders to know they can do this, powerfully. When we sit in an uncomfortable space, it allows us to exist for the sake of existing. We believe being uncomfortable is crucial and shows others what it takes to be a great leader. This is the time when we know you can do this. You will grow and change to become better.
From a listener: "I've heard the phrase, "Get comfortable being uncomfortable" many times. I'll forever be trying to improve myself in this aspect, but in doing this, I believe you can begin to learn and be open to much more."

ITTA Episode 3 Be Aware
In this episode of the It's Time to Adapt series, Radiance Real Talk host, Carole Burton, and Tracy Y. Washington take a deep dive into the impact and imprint of Emotional Intelligence. We check in with our Internal Temperature and take a look through the lens of how you are aware of understanding how you feel in challenging situations when you don't have the answers. We ask ourselves and then discuss, "What is the threat at the moment?, Who am I in this self-chosen role?, How am I listening?, Do I take the time to listen and see what is going on?, What am I to learn?" We spend time exploring self-awareness and blind spots. We ask you to consider how do we, as leaders manage our emotions in the moment and after-effects when facing difficulty. We invite you to explore, "What are the internal conversations a leader contemplates?
A listener commented, "Emotional intelligence is a topic I don't remember hearing much about growing up. I'm beginning to hear about it more now, but the topic is important for not only leaders but for everyone. Understanding and being empathetic are skills we need to make sure we are always improving on."

ITTA Episode 2 Be Vulnerable
In this episode of the It's Time to Adapt series, Tracy Y. Washington from the Relationship Leadership Philosophy and Radiance Real Talk host, Carole Burton of Radiance Resources, explores the power of vulnerability. We're inviting you to consider what it means when we, as leaders, choose to be vulnerable to be present in a situation. When leaders choose to be vulnerable, we permit ourselves to be uncomfortable yet open to grow and evolve. We address questions such as, "What is our business Breaking Point?, What is the turning point?, Are we stuck?, What do I do? or What was my role that got us here?" We pose alternative questions such as "Where am I?, What am I?, Where do I sit with all this?" We talk about how being vulnerable means leaders need to have tough conversations. One person may not have all the answers. Being vulnerable opens us to let go of being in control, carrying shame, or embarrassment, and pride. We allow others to contribute. Hence we empower others to lead.
A listener committed, "The discussion on vulnerability makes you think about when and how you are vulnerable as well as how it helps the situation. If you sometimes choose not to be vulnerable, ask yourself why."
