IEC in the North West, is on high-alert, following the torching of one of its voting stations in Wonderkop in Marikana. The Commission says, it is monitoring all areas, considered to be political hot-spots ahead of next weeks' polls. Make-shifts voting stations, in a form of tents and other alternatives, will be sent to those areas. Protesting residents in Wonderkop, torched a local hall, earmarked to be used as a voting station - saying the local mining giants, Lonmin is deliberately overlooking them, in its employment of workers.
