1. We do not often discuss company specific news with you, but there were some interesting results released yesterday, including Sasol releasing full year numbers to June 2015. In the light of the massive decline in oil prices over the last 12 months, I would have expected these numbers to be quite dismal. Talk to us about the performance of Sasol.
2. Another big commodity company that was in the news yesterday was Glencore. Their financial performance during the first half of the year was such that it pushed them to suspend dividends as well as announce that it would sell assets and shares to address its significant debt levels. What did you make of the news out of this global mining giant?
3. Speaking of rights issues, hot on the heels of successfully avoiding a takeover bid by rival Curro, private education group AdvTech yesterday announced that they have embarked on a capital raising exercise to fund new investment opportunities. Is this the only reason why?
