AGANG parliamentary Leader, Andries Tlouamma has accused opposition parties in Parliament of hypocrisy. This after the party's decision to withdraw a motion of no confidence in President Jacob Zuma yesterday. Tlouamma withdrew the motion after National Assembly Speaker, Baleka Mbete refused Agang's demand that she recuses herself during the debate. Opposition parties, led by the DA, strongly criticised Tlouamma for denying them the opportunity to debate the no confidence motion. He says the EFF and the DA are shallow parties who have contributed little to the fifth Parliament. Andries Tlouamma spoke to Sakina Kamwendo

According to a Financial Mail report, South Africa's ambassador to Japan Mohau Pheko is not a PHD graduate from LaSalle University as she claims in her CV. LaSalle was shut down in 1996 when it emerged it was selling degrees and other academic qualifications via the Internet. Pheko claims she received her PHD there in 2000. Pheko is among several South African public officials recently found to have been falsely claiming certain academic qualifications. Efforts to speak to Ambassador Pheko were unsuccessful, while the Department of International Relations has reserved its comment. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to Financial Mail's Fiona Forde
