Health minister Aaron Motsoaledi has urged the public to stop consuming ready to eat, processed food products, such as polony, viennas and chicken sausages. The Right2Know Campaign is marching to the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) in Bloemfontein on Friday morning, to challenge apartheid-era Intimidation Act. The non-profit advocacy organisation says it is doing this in solidarity with two cases of activists, General Alfred Moyo and former Marikana Women's Group leader Primrose Sonti, who is now a Member of Parliament. President Cyril Ramaphosa is now expected to initiate the process of re-establishing the SADC Tribunal after the Pretoria High Court on Thursday declared that former president Jacob Zuma's participation in the suspension of the Tribunal in 2012 was unlawful, irrational and unconstitutional. The Tribunal was set up in 2005 as a judicial body to resolve disputes between Southern African states as well as between states and their citizens. In 2011 SADC leaders - including former president Zuma, suspended the tribunal and later removed the court's jurisdiction for individuals in 2014. Police Minister Bheki Cele says human trafficking needs the co-operation of a bigger crime prevention cluster and home affairs to nip it in the bud.
