The ANC's new leadership is expected to be announced this morning(monday). This follow intents nomination and voting process last night at the party's 54th national congress in Nasrec, south of Johannesburg. The race for the top job was reduced from seven candidates to a two horse race between Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma and deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa. There were also a several last minute with drawals from the race for other positions.

There have been mixed reactions from the parties involved in the ruling handed down by the Constitutional Court over the land claim of Salem Community. The Constitutional Court has ruled that both parties involved, the landowners, descendants of 1820 settlers and the claimants's descedants of AmaXhosa group that stayed in Salem, should share the land, and the landowners do not have exclusive rights to the land. The claimants own five farms from the 38 farms in Salem but wanted to claim all of them. The matter has been refered back to the Land Claim Court to determine a remedy and what the landowners are entitled to. Mcebisi Ngqina reports...

The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court says the resolve of her office is unshakable and that they will continue in their efforts to bring those responsible for crimes in Sudan's Darfur region to justice. Fatou Bensouda was providing her 26th report on Darfur to the Security Council after it referred the situation there to the ICC in 2005, the first time the Council had handed any situation over to the Court despite Sudan being a non-state party to the Rome Statute. Bensouda also cited a July ruling by The Hague Court against South Africa arguing that it established there was no legal or factual justification for the country's failure to comply with its obligations in surrendering Sudan's President Omar Al Bashir to the Court. Deputy Police Minister, Bongani Mkhongi has officially introduced Directorate For Priority Crime Investigation Judge Frans Diale Kgomo to the community of Khayelitsha, on the Cape Flats. The levels of crime in Khayelitsha prompted Premier Helen Zille to call for a commission of inquiry in 2012 - that concluded that there was a breakdown in relations between the community and police. This follows an online campaign titled #RhodesWar in support of female student activists have been expelled from the institution for allegedly holding protests against sexual abuses. The female students claim sentences imposed upon them for common law crimes such as kidnapping and assault are harsher than those imposed on male students found guilty of sexual offences. we speak to Director of Communications at Rhodes University, Luzuko Jacobs.

The police officer responsible for investigating a criminal case against the Author of "The President's Keepers", Jacques Pauw, has been removed. Colonel Reuben Govender, of the KwaZulu-Natal police was removed from the case before Pauw and investigative journalist Pieter-Louis Myburgh were to present themselves at his office to be charged. Eastern Cape Premier Phumulo Masualle has failed to appear before the ANC' Special Provincial Executive Committee meeting held in King William's Town to discuss the report of the public protector. Masualle and four mayors of the affected municipalities were summoned to appear before this committee to account on the public protector's report . The damning findings by Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane say the provincial government has misappropriated 300-million rand during preparations for former president Nelson Mandela funeral in December 2013. However the four mayors attended the meeting while Masualle did not pitch up as he is still consulting his legal team on the report .Makhaya Komisa has more .

Metrorail says its central line services will remain suspended in Cape Town due to vandalism of critical infrastructure. Train services between Chris Hani, Kapteinsklip and Bishop Lavis have been affected and thousands of commuters stranded.
