The search is still on for a pride of five lions that has been on the prowl in Fochville, west of Johannesburg for days. Initially police and wildlife authorities were hunting for one lion after it was spotted outside the gate of a Fochville resident. Air support was called in on Sunday after residents reported that they had come across a pride of lions in the area. We speak to Drew Abrahamson, from the Captured in Africa Foundation, who is helping to co-ordinate the search.

The disciplinary hearing for the outspoken ANC MP, Dr. Makhosi Khoza, which was supposed to be held on Sunday in Durban, has been postponed until next Sunday. Khoza's representative asked for a postponement, arguing that he was only appointed by Khoza late yesterday. Khoza did not attend the hearing. The proceedings which was supposed to start at 9h00 at the party's KwaZulu-Natal offices in Durban, started an hour later as Khoza's representative was late. An alleged mob justice attack has left the community of Chatty in Port Elizabeth living in fear after a person mistaken for a criminal was burnt alive and his home set alight last week. Mvuyiseko Mfezane, a 32-year old man was burnt in a field near his home by a group of people who claimed to be looking for criminals in the area. His unemployed 60-year old aunt, Thobeka Fezane says she now faces the huge responsibility of raising funds for his funeral whilst taking care of her disabled sons.

Police have launched an investigation into last night's attack against app-based taxi drivers. Two Uber vehicles and a metered taxi were set alight. Gauteng provincial police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo says it appears the attacks are as a result of the ongoing violence between metered taxi and taxi app drivers.

Police in KwaZulu-Natal say they will engage with the National Prosecuting Authority on what charges to lay against the former bodyguards of ANC Ethekwini regional secretary Bheki Ntuli. This after a video emerged showing the two men cocking an AK-47 firearm and making death threats. It is illegal to carry the weapon in South Africa. The bodyguards have since been fired. Political analyst Protas Madlala says the ANC leadership has finally come to terms with the fact that an urgent solution should be found to the politically-motivated killings in KwaZulu-Natal. The party in the province says it will soon meet with all its branches in Mzimkhulu, on the province's south coast, to iron out their differences. This after some leaders were hackled outside the house of the late former ANC Youth League national secretary-general Sindiso Magaqa earlier this week. Magaqa died earlier this week after succumbing to the wounds he sustained when he shot during an ambush in July.
