On his first day back at work after resigning from as Eskom CEO six month ago, Brian Molefe has reversed the utility's decision to close four power stations in Mpumalanga. The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal has accused some judges of interfering with political processes in favour of certain opposition parties. Party members marched to the Durban High court following the recent decision by Pretoria High court's Judge Bashier Valley where he ruled that President Jacob Zuma must provide basis for his decision to axe both former Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan and his deputy Mcebisi Jonas. The party in the province also called on the judiciary to investigate whether or not Judge Valley acted impartially on the matter. Vusi Makhosini reports.

Schools have reopened in the trouble torn Coligny township in the North West after three weeks of disruptions which have left the area racially divided. Police have disputed claims that the suspect in the death of 22 year old Karabo Mokoena whose boy was found in a veld in Lyndhurst Johannesburg burnt beyond recognition had committed suicide. Police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo says they have been receiving calls over the alleged suicide. He says the reports are fallacious.

The ANC wants the public enterprises minister to reverse her decision to re-appoint Eskom chief executive Brian Molefe. Minister Lynne Brown has been reportedly summoned to appear at the ANC's headquarters today, to explain Friday's decision to re-appoint Molefe, which was heavily criticised by opposition parties and unions. Meanwhile COPE has warned Molefe not to report for duty this morning because he will be prevented from entering the utility's gate.

Human Settlements Minister Lindiwe Sisulu has given the technical team tasked with responding to housing protests, two weeks to verify the housing list database in the south of Johannesburg. The Minister, together with Gauteng Human Settlements MEC Paul Mashatile and Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba, met yesterday in Soweto with the leadership of communities such as Eldorado Park, Ennerdale, Freedom Park and Kliptown about their housing concerns.
