Welcome to our June episode of Radio AvA!
Get educated as Alex deep dives into the Online Harms Bill, she truly tells you everything you need to know about it from its origins to present day and how exactly it will effect you with with your online advertising platforms. We were also delighted to have Rosalind in the studio for her fist time! She told us all about the original occupation of Saint-Nizier Church by sex workers in Lyon in 1975 as well as the activism & celebrations that happened in London to commemorate the 50 years. Having all had the privilege of watching the 1975 documentary 'The Prostitutes Lyon speak', we reviewed the film and teased you with our favourite moments. If you would like to have access to the film just get in touch and we can help you see it! I hope you enjoy! See you next month xoxo
Due to the terrible Supreme Court ruling on the "definition of a woman" Lolly saw fit to call the besties from THORN in for an emergency episode to discuss what exactly this means for our community, how we can support transwomen & transfemmes & what support is out there. Julian & Alexandra joined Lolly in studio to rage, grieve and most importantly look towards the future. It's a must listen for the community and all of our allies who want to do better.

We have an extra special March episode for you listeners to celebrate (hopefully) the end of the long winter in London. Angel B.H joined us to read from her debut novel, All Hookers go to Heaven. We talked about a number of the pressing themes. We were also joined by four professional submissives to talk about this highly stigmatised form of sex work and how we can build community akin to that of the pro domme community. We hope you enjoy!
This episode is co-facilitated by our comrade Julian along with our co-host and Radio AvA regular Grey. Race and sex are perpetually intertwined realms of human life. We wish we could talk about everything today but the items we will be discussing now are the things we feel impact our current work. Being: a promiscuity associated with POC workers, age perceptions in different races, the racialisation of clients and critical whiteness studies.
