You're making progress! That's good. But there may be some issue in your life that you haven't addressed - some sin that you're letting hang on, and it may be causing you all sorts of trouble.

In Judah, there were a number of good kings. But even the good kings did not take down the "high places" of idolatry. They kept them up. And God held that decision against them. They went only so far in their reforms, but they did not go all the way. That wasn't enough! Click to learn more in this sermon from 2 Kings.

    1) What were the high places of Israel?

What does the Bible say about making plans for the future?

    1) What does the Bible tell us about our future?
    2) How can we know if our plans line up with God's will?

  • Church Life: Do Christians Really Need The Church

For a Christian, is church OPTIONAL?

In other words, do you really need to be part of a church family? Why or why not?

Spoiler Alert: Yes, Christians need the church. In God's economy, it was created with their benefit in mind - in order to give hurting, broken people a sense of unity and family with other believers. It is also a place where we do things corporately that God hasn't asked us to do privately (such as partake in the sacraments).

With that said, some of us have had bad experiences in churches. So have been hurt or disappointed. For others, there may be logistical reasons that appear to hamper or prohibit church engagement. We'll talk about these things and more in today's study from Acts 2.

Questions That We'll Answer In Today's Sermon:
    1) Do you have to go to church to be a Christian?
    2) What does the Bible say about church participation or membership?
    3) Can't we worship God in other contexts or settings (besides church)?

  • Walking On Water: When Life's Waves Crash In

When the storm hit, the sailors were exactly where Jesus had told them to go. They were right in the danger zone. But if Christ loved them so much, how could this be?

Storms happen. And sometimes God puts you right in their midst. But here's the thing - He does not leave you to face them alone! Click to listen to this study of Matthew 14.

    Questions We'll Answer:
Why did Jesus walk on water? And why did Peter sink?
Why does God allow us to face difficult circumstances?
Where is God when we're feeling depressed or anxious?

  • Consider The Source: Who Are You Listening To?

Everyone is someone's disciple. Someone is teaching you. Someone is attempting to remake you in their image. The question is: who?

As a Christian, you need to consider the sources that are instructing you and your children (from church to the media to schooling). Not everyone can be right about the big questions in life, and some sources are outright wrong and depraved. Click to listen to this relevant sermon from Colossians 2.

  • New Year: Strength And Sanctification In 2023

2023 is here. Last year is gone. Act accordingly.

In Philippians 3, the Apostle Paul said that he was going to forget the past, and push forward to what lay ahead. Paul saw life as a 'race,' one that he was committed to running well. What about you? What is your objective for the new year? And how will you reach it? In this sermon, we will consider Paul's exhortation to the church in Philippi - that they grow stronger and more sanctified in the time to come.
