Radio Free Galaxy

Slashers, creature features, psychological thrillers, paranormal mysteries, comedy spoofs, camp movies; whatever flavor of 1980s horror movies that you love, we get into it all in this episode! All four hosts of Radio Free Galaxy are joined by returning guest Doug Brem of Ratbatspider and first time guest Rich Altenbach of Murder Generation to celebrate our favorite(not best) scary movies that we all spent countless weekend nights watching on VHS. Join us as we countdown our top 5 and let us know what would be on your list!

This week we welcomed the infamous punk rock vocalist of Peach Vomit, Mama Vomit(aka Megan) to the show! We are super stoked that she wanted to come on the show tonight and make an exclusive announcement about what's next for Peach Vomit! Hear it here first before it's punk rock history!

On this episode Trisha, Tine, Dan Shane, and I are joined by professional dog trainer Loretta Zich! We talked about competitive dog training, animal psychology, and we dished the dirt about Trisha and Loretta traveling together on the dog agility circuit. There are so many funny stories about silly dogs and even sillier humans, you definitely don't want to miss this one!

On this episode, Addam and I are joined by MTG aficionados Dan Shane and Steve Bilek to chat all about the Commander format of Magic: The Gathering. We talked about the basics of building a deck, the history and evolution of the format, and all three of them try to convince me to give it a shot. Kick back and listen to friends geek out together, join in the conversation, and support your local gaming store!

Support Local, Broadcast To The Universe!

Trisha has been nailing it as far as booking interviews for the show and the band this week is an awesome addition to her already stellar track record! Milwaukee horror punk band Ratbatspider blew me away the first time I heard them! This band rules and we couldn't be happier to have all four of the members of the band on for an interview. We talk about how they got together, how their trilogy of albums has evolved into their current badass release('The Day Of The Ratbatspider!'), how much covid has affected their lives, and some of their favorite horror movies. Join us as we continue to support local and broadcast to the universe!

For this episode, we wanted to do some ranking of our favorite science fiction movies that are criminally underseen and argue about which ones are the best! Join us for our longest episode ever during which Trisha falls asleep 3 times, Addam goes through an entire case of diet Pepsi, and Christine eats 12 donuts! Also Neil Beckman joins us and chips in his crappy film opinions as well! Check all of these movies out and let us know what's on your list!

Trisha saw Wonder Woman 1984 and I didn't. She hilariously was trying to explain the plot to me and I pressed the record button halfway through her rant. This is what happened next... (Warning: full spoilers for the movie!)

Here is an outtake that got excluded from Episode 24: Krampus And Ham - The 1st Annual RFG Christmas Special! It picks up in the middle of us talking about ham, vodka, pineapple, and calling each other gross.

Ho! Ho! Ho! What goes better with Christmas day ham other than Cabbage In A Can? Krampus! Seriously, we're bored and lonely on Christmas evening and so we thought we'd get together and talk about an instant classic horror movie that you should add to your yuletide cinematic repertoire. Join us as we talk about demonic gingerbread men and what we used to glaze our hams as we try to beat the 2020 holiday sadness together apart!

It's almost time for Christmas, so Trisha and I have heavy metal jingle bells on our minds, of course! We welcome Dustin Moon of kick ass Milwaukee band Reflection of Flesh to the podcast this week! We talked about his writing process, organized religion, Lyme disease, and the difference between an E.P. and an album(because Trisha STILL can't figure it out...). It was a really fun conversation and we can't wait to have him on again!
