CLiFF CiTY Radio is Washington College’s first college radio program, created and hosted by Evan Gaines. The hummingbird mag has graciously allowed the Radio Free George production to be hosted on the site for it’s weekly summer postings.
This week Evan is flying solo and pursuing the musical motif of “running in place”. What began the week as a comment on how the days slip by during quarantine, “running in place” took on a whole new meaning in the context of George Floyd’s death and the ensuing national protests.

Welcome to Cliff City Radio, the Radio Free George music docu-series. In this short check-in, host Evan Gaines gives listeners a brief look into his upcoming Mr. Bungle documentary.
Cliff City's Philosphy:
Cliff City Radio looks to tell engaging and in depth stories about music and the people help create it. This semester Cliff City is aiming at releasing at least two full length podcast documentaries starting March 2020.
Although the bands and music we will be looking into range from the super popular to the painfully obscure, the narratives always scratch at universally human concepts (jealousy, tragedy, change, ya know Shakespeare stuff). Not only will the sound be immersive but the story will be told accurately, passionately, and with lots of personality.
We want listeners to return to our program because they were exposed to music they wouldn't have been otherwise, they feel like they are learning something, or they just enjoy how the story is told.

Many things in our daily lives are annoying. In this episode, Karlie and Will talk about their biggest (but most harmless) annoyances, their irrational fears, and the little things that excite them.
Karlie and Will navigate everything from U.S. college myths to lengthy fruit metaphors in their inaugural show. While the topics may change one thing is certain; they will always have an opinion on the matter!
