Following the raucous Robot Jox last show, we thought we'd slow things down a little, and take what turned out to be a deep, deep dive into Ari Aster's latest masterpiece, Midsommar. 

We're missing our male contingent this week, so strap in for some full on girl-on-girl action. Not that kind of action. The talky kind. We fit as much as we possibly could into the episode, including FX and visuals, hidden themes, and ask the important question - Who hurt you, Ari?

Hey Gore-fam! Happy Women In Horror Month!

 

This week we chat a bit about how Sarah has figured out a space-time rift that allows her extra hours to binge Netflix shows, and Rosie gets heckin' enthusiastic about the forthcoming second season of Altered Carbon.

 

The main thrust of the show is on Karyn Kusama's insidious horror-thriller The Invitation. We take some time to focus on this meditation on grief and shared trauma, and give far too many details about how tightly clenched our butts were. Nobody asked for that, and we're very sorry.
