    Informative session about the important personality. Homi Jehangir Bhabha was an Indian nuclear physicist, founding  director, and professor of physics at the Tata Institute of Fundamental  Research. Colloquially known as "Father of the Indian nuclear programme", Bhabha was also the founding director of the Atomic Energy Establishment, Trombay (AEET) which is now named the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in his honour. TIFR and AEET were the cornerstone of Indian development  of nuclear weapons which Bhabha also supervised as director. Bhabha was awarded the Adams Prize (1942) and Padma Bhushan (1954). He was also nominated for the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1951 and 1953–1956.

    Rahi Jeevan Sarnobat is a female athlete from India who competes  in the 25 metre pistol shooting event. She won her first gold medal at  the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India. She is the first woman to win a gold medal in shooting at the Asian Games for India – she won the gold at the 2018 Jakarta Palembang Asian Games in the women's 25 metre pistol event. She won two gold medals in 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, the first of the two golds in coming in the 25 metre pistol pair event with Anisa Sayyed. She had previously won gold in the 25 metre pistol event at the 2008 Youth Commonwealth Games, which were held in India.

    सप्टेंबर १९६५ मध्ये झालेल्या भारत • पाकिस्तान युद्धाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर ४ ते १० जानेवारी, १९६६ दरम्यान सोव्हिएत रशियामधील उझबेकिस्तान प्रांतातील ताश्कंद शहरात पंतप्रधान • लालबहादूर शास्त्री आणि पाकिस्तानचे अध्यक्ष अयूबखान यांच्यामध्ये रशियाचे कोसीजीन यांच्या मध्यस्थीने वाटाघाटी झाल्या व १० जानेवारी, १९६६ रोजी उभयपक्षी 'ताश्कंद करार' संमत झाला. त्याच दिवशी मध्यरात्री म्हणजे ११ जानेवारी, १९६६च्या पहाटे १ वाजून ३२ मिनिटांनी लालबहादूर शास्त्री यांचं हृदयविकाराच्या तीव्र झटक्याने निधन झालं. केवळ १९ महिन्यांची, पण अनेक समस्या व आव्हानांनी भरलेली भारताच्या या दुसऱ्या पंतप्रधानाची कारकीर्द अकस्मात मृत्यूने संपुष्टात आली.

  • Vyakti Vishesh : Today's Personality V. R. Khanolkar and Joseph Pulitzer.

    Informative session about the important personality. Vasant Ramji Khanolkar, better known as V. R. Khanolkar, was an  Indian pathologist. He made major contributions to the epidemiology and understanding of  cancer, blood groups, and leprosy. He is often referred as the "Father  of Pathology and Medical Research in India. He was born on 13 April 1895 in Gomantak Maratha Samaj Family. He studied medicine at the University of London and obtained his M.D. in Pathology in 1923. He was a Professor of Pathology in Grants Medical and Seth G. S. Medical Colleges. He was also closely associated with the Tata Memorial Hospital and served as director of laboratories and research. The government of  India appointed him a national research professor of medicine, a  position which he held for ten years. He helped to organize the Indian  Cancer Research Centre and served as director from its inception until  1973.

    Joseph Pulitzer was a Hungarian-born American newspaper publisher  of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the New York World. He became a  leading national figure in the Democratic Party and was elected  congressman from New York. He crusaded against big business and corruption, and helped keep the Statue of Liberty in New York. In the 1890s the fierce competition between his World and William Randolph Hearst's New York Journal caused both to develop the techniques of yellow journalism,  which won over readers with sensationalism, sex, crime and graphic  horrors. The wide appeal reached a million copies a day and opened the  way to mass-circulation newspapers that depended on advertising revenue  (rather than cover price or political party subsidies) and appealed to  readers with multiple forms of news, gossip, entertainment and  advertising.

    Informative session about the important personality. William Henry Gates III is an American business magnate, software  developer, investor, author, and philanthropist. He is a co-founder of  Microsoft, along with his late childhood friend Paul Allen. During his career at Microsoft, Gates held the positions of chairman, chief executive officer (CEO), president and chief software architect, while also being the largest individual shareholder until May 2014. He is considered one of the best known entrepreneurs of the microcomputer revolution of the 1970s and 1980s. Gates was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. In 1975, he and Allen founded Microsoft in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It became the world's largest personal computer software company. Gates led the company as chairman and CEO until stepping down as CEO in January 2000, succeeded by Steve Ballmer, but he remained chairman of the board of directors and became chief software architect.

    Friedrich Max Müller was a German-born philologist and  Orientalist, who lived and studied in Britain for most of his life. He  was one of the founders of the western academic disciplines of Indian  studies and religious studies. Müller wrote both scholarly and popular  works on the subject of Indology. The Sacred Books of the East, a 50-volume set of English translations, was prepared under his direction. He also promoted the idea of a Turanian family of languages.

    Yashwant Rao Holkar Bahadur, belonging to the Holkar dynasty of  the Maratha Empire was the Maharaja of the Maratha Empire. He was a  gifted military leader and educated in accountancy as well as literate  in Persian and Marathi. On 6 January 1799, Chakravarti Chhatrapati Yashwant Rao Holkar was crowned King, as per Hindu Vedic rites and in May, 1799, he captured Ujjain. He was conferred with regal titles by the Mughal Emperor and the British recognized him as a sovereign king. He started campaigning towards the  north to expand his empire in that region. Yashwant Rao rebelled against  the policies of the Peshwa Baji Rao II. However he was loyal towards Maratha emperor of Satara as Holkars were paying tribute towards Satara Chhatrapati.

  • Vyakti Vishesh : Today's Personality Isaac Singer, Jatindra Nath Das and Theodore Roosevelt.

    Informative session about the important personality. Isaac Merritt Singer was an American inventor, actor, and  businessman. He made important improvements in the design of the sewing  machine and was the founder of what became one of the first American  multi-national businesses, the Singer Sewing Machine Company. Many others, including Walter Hunt and Elias Howe, had patented sewing machines before Singer, but his success was based on the practicality of his  machine, the ease with which it could be adapted to home use and its  availability on an installments payment basis.

    Jatindra Nath Das; 27 October 1904 – 13 September 1929, also known  as Jatin Das, was an Indian independence activist and revolutionary. He  died in Lahore jail after a 63-day hunger strike. Tributes were paid by almost every leader in the country. Mohammad Alam and Gopi Chand Bhargava resigned from the Punjab Legislative Council in protest. Motilal Nehru proposed the adjournment of the Central Assembly as a censure against  the inhumanity of the Lahore prisoners. The censure motion was carried  by 55 votes against 47. Jawaharlal Nehru said "Another name has been added to the long and splendid roll of  Indian martyrs. Let us bow our heads and pray for strength to act to  carry on the struggle, however long it may be and whatever consequences,  till the victory is ours ". Subhas Chandra Bose described Das as the  "young Dadhichi of India", referring to the well known mythological yogi Dadhichi   who sacrificed his life for the sake of killing a demon.

    Theodore Roosevelt Jr., often referred to as Teddy or his initials  T. R., was an American politician, statesman, conservationist,  naturalist, historian, and writer who served as the 26th president of  the United States from 1901 to 1909. He previously served as the 25th vice president under William McKinley from March to September 1901, and as the 33rd governor of New York from 1899 to 1900. Having assumed the presidency after McKinley's assassination, Roosevelt emerged as a leader of the Republican Party and became a driving force for anti-trust and Progressive policies.
