हिंदी चित्रपटविश्वात युद्धपटांची परंपरा सुरू करणारा चित्रपट म्हणून चेतन आनंददिग्दर्शित 'हकीकत' (१९६४) या चित्रपटाला महत्त्वपूर्ण मानलं जातं. भारत-चीन युद्धाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवरील हा चित्रपट प्रचंड लोकप्रिय ठरला. यापूर्वी म्हणजे १९६३ साली आलेला तमिळ भाषेतील शिवाजी गणेशन् अभिनित ‘रक्त तिलकम्' हा चित्रपट सुद्धा भारत-चीन युद्धाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर असला, तरी तो अतिनाट्यात्म होता. त्या मानाने 'हकीकत' अधिक काव्यात्म व मानवी भावनांचा स्पर्श असलेला असा होता.
Informative session about the important personality. Tulsidas, also known as Goswami Tulsidas, was a Ramanandi Vaishnava Hindu saint and poet, renowned for his devotion to the deity Rama. He wrote several popular works in Sanskrit and Awadhi, but is best known as the author of the epic Ramcharitmanas, a retelling of the Sanskrit Ramayana based on Rama's life in the vernacular Awadhi. Tulsidas spent most of his life in the city of Varanasi and Ayodhya. The Tulsi Ghat on the Ganges River in Varanasi is named after him. He founded the Sankatmochan Temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman in Varanasi, believed to stand at the place where he had the sight of the deity. Tulsidas started the Ramlila plays, a folk-theatre adaption of the Ramayana.
Subedar Joginder Singh Sahnan, PVC, was an Indian Army soldier who posthumously received India's highest military gallantry award, the Param Vir Chakra. Singh joined the British Indian Army in 1936, and served in the 1st battalion of the Sikh Regiment. During the 1962 Sino-Indian War, he was commanding a platoon at the Bum La Pass in the North-East Frontier Agency. Though heavily outnumbered, he led his troops against a Chinese assault and defended his post until he was wounded and captured. Singh died from his injuries while in Chinese custody. He single-handedly killed more than 50 Chinese soldiers and create a history in Indian Army.

Napoléon Bonaparte, usually referred to as simply Napoleon in English, was a French military and political leader who rose to prominence during the French Revolution and led several successful campaigns during the Revolutionary Wars. He was the de facto leader of the French Republic as First Consul from 1799 to 1804. As Napoleon I, he was Emperor of the French from 1804 until 1814 and again in 1815. Napoleon dominated European and global affairs for more than a decade while leading France against a series of coalitions in the Napoleonic Wars. He won most of these wars and the vast majority of his battles, building a large empire that ruled over continental Europe before its final collapse in 1815. One of the greatest commanders in history, his wars and campaigns are studied at military schools worldwide. He remains one of the most celebrated and controversial political figures in human history.
Vithalbhai Patel was an Indian legislator and political leader, co-founder of the Swaraj Party and elder brother of Sardar Patel. Patel grew popular and respected by his oratorical and witty mastery and belittling of the Raj's officials, winning many a battle of wit. In 1914, Vithalbhai played a prominent role in two bills on the Bombay provincial legislative council, "the Bombay District Municipal Act Amendment Bill" and "The Town Planning Bill" in 1914. His most well known proposal for which he received praise was for the extension of primary education to municipal districts in the Bombay presidency outside of the city of Bombay in 1917. After a long battle, the bill was passed after several amendments and modifications. Throughout his time on the legislative council, he passed and fought for several bills and amendments on medical practice. In a 1912 amendment to the Bombay medical act, he sought to register doctors for disciplinary action for malpractice. This amendment did not include ayurvedic physicians. In 1923 he was elected to the Central Legislative Assembly, a chamber of elected and appointed Indian and British representatives with limited legislative powers, and in 1925 became the Assembly's president, or speaker.

चेन्नईचे सुप्रसिद्ध चित्रकार के. सी. एस. पणिक्कर यांच्या प्रेरणेने तमिळनाडूमधील चेन्नई शहराजवळ 'चोलामंडल आर्टिस्ट्स व्हिलेज'ची अर्थात कलावंतांच्या अभिनव वसाहतीची स्थापना १९६४मध्ये झाली. शहरातील कोलाहलापासून दूर, जिथे कलावंतांना आपली कलानिर्मिती निवांतपणे व निर्वेधपणे करता येईल अशी एक वसाहत, या रूपाने दक्षिण भारतात अस्तित्वात आली. स्वतंत्र भारतातील अशा स्वरूपाची ही पहिलीवहिली वसाहत ठरली. 'चोलामंडल' ही मुळात कल्पनारम्य, आदर्शवादी कल्पना होती आणि ती वास्तवातही उतरल्यामुळे कलाविश्वात तिचं मोठं स्थान निर्माण झालं.
Informative session about the important personality. Jayaprakash Narayan, popularly referred to as JP or Lok Nayak, was an Indian independence activist, theorist, socialist and political leader. He is also known as the "Hero of Quit India Movement" and he is remembered for leading the mid-1970s opposition against Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, for whose overthrow he had called for a "total revolution". His biography, Jayaprakash, was written by his nationalist friend and the writer of Hindi literature, Rambriksh Benipuri. In 1999, he was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, in recognition of his social service. Other awards include the Magsaysay award for Public Service in 1965.
Alfred Bernhard Nobel was a Swedish chemist, engineer, inventor, businessman, and philanthropist. He is best known for having bequeathed his fortune to establish the Nobel Prize, though he also made several important contributions to science, holding 355 patents in his lifetime. Nobel's most famous invention was dynamite, a safer and easier means of harnessing the explosive power of nitroglycerin; it was patented in 1867 and was soon used worldwide for mining and infrastructure development. Nobel displayed an early aptitude for science and learning, particularly in chemistry and languages; he became fluent in six languages and filed his first patent at age 24. He embarked on many business ventures with his family, most notably owning Bofors, an iron and steel producer that he developed into a major manufacturer of cannons and other armaments.
