    महात्मा गांधींचं स्मृती संग्रहालय उभारायचं, तर त्याच्या रचनेतून त्यांचं व्यक्तिमत्त्व आणि त्यांचे विचार यांची अनुभूती पाहणाऱ्याला लाभली पाहिजे, असा निश्चित दृष्टिकोन बाळगून वास्तुरचनाकार चार्ल्स कोरिया यांनी अहमदाबादमधील साबरमती आश्रमाच्या ठिकाणी १९५८ ते १९६३च्या दरम्यान महात्मा गांधी स्मारक संग्रहालयाची वैशिष्ट्यपूर्ण वास्तू साकार केली. १९६३ मध्ये तत्कालीन पंतप्रधान जवाहरलाल नेहरू यांच्या हस्ते या संग्रहालयाचं उद्घाटन झालं.

  • Vyakti Vishesh : Today's Personality Har Gobind Khorana and Anant Hari Garde.

    Informative session about the important personality. Har Gobind Khorana was an Indian American biochemist. While on the  faculty of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, he shared the 1968  Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine with Marshall W. Nirenberg. and Robert W. Holley for research that showed the order of nucleotides in nucleic acids, which carry the genetic code of the cell and control the cell's synthesis of proteins. Khorana and Nirenberg were also awarded the Louisa Gross Horwitz Prize from Columbia University in the same year. Born in British India, Khorana served on the faculties of three universities in North America. He became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1966, and received the National Medal of Science in 1987.

    Anant Hari Gadre was a writer, journalist, playwright and social reformer. He is considered to be the promoter of the drama sect.

  • Vyakti Vishesh : Today's Personality A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and Narayan Gangaram Surve.

    Informative session about the important personality. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was an Indian aerospace  scientist who served as the 11th president of India from 2002 to 2007.  He was born and raised in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu and studied physics and  aerospace engineering. He spent the next four decades as a scientist and science administrator, mainly at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and was intimately involved in India's civilian space programme and military missile development efforts. He thus came to be known as the Missile Man of India for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology. He also played a pivotal organisational, technical, and political role in India's Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998, the first since the original nuclear test by India in 1974. Kalam was elected as the 11th president of India in 2002 with the support of both the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the then-opposition Indian National Congress. Widely referred to as the "People's President", he returned to his civilian life of education, writing and public  service after a single term. He was a recipient of several prestigious  awards, including the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour.

    Narayan Gangaram Surve was a Marathi poet from Maharashtra, India. He was born on 15 October 1926. Orphaned or abandoned soon after birth, he grew up in the streets of Mumbai,  sleeping on the pavement and earning a meager livelihood by doing odd  jobs. He taught himself to read and write, and in 1962, published his  first collection of poems Aisa Ga Mi Brahma (ऐसा गा मी ब्रह्म ; Aisa Ga Mi Brahma). Majhe Vidyapeeth (माझे विद्यापीठ ; My University),  the book he would be most known for appeared in 1966 while he stayed in  Chinchpokli, Mahahrashtra. He received 11 prizes for his book Majhe VidyapeethThough he studied only till second standard and never climbed the steps of a college, he is known as one of the best poets of Marathi language. Surve actively worked in the workers' union movement in Mumbai  and supported himself as a schoolteacher. Surve, who had much faith in  Karl Marx, won the 'Soviet Land Nehru Award' (for his book Majhe  Vidyapeeth) from the Soviet Union in the year 1973 as communist people  of Russia were fascinated by his views and considered him similar to  them. He became the editor of Lokvadmaygruha in the year 1972.

    केरळ राज्यातील थुंबा येथील 'थुंबा इक्विटोरियल लाँच सेंटर' (टर्ल्स) वरून भारताच्या पहिल्या संशोधक अग्निबाणाचं २१ नोव्हेंबर १९६३ रोजी यशस्वी उड्डाण झालं. भारताचे थोर वैज्ञानिक विक्रम • साराभाई यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली 'इंकोस्यार' (इंडियन नॅशनल कमिटी फॉर स्पेस रिसर्च) या संस्थेने हा प्रयोग यशस्वीरीत्या साध्य केला आणि त्याद्वारे भारताने अवकाश-संशोधन क्षेत्रात आश्वासक पदार्पण केलं. स्वातंत्र्यानंतर केवळ १६ वर्षांतच आपल्या वैज्ञानिकांनी हा टप्पा साध्य केला.

    Informative session about the important personality. Amartya Kumar Sen is an Indian economist and philosopher, who  since 1972 has taught and worked in the United Kingdom and the United  States. Sen has made contributions to welfare economics, social choice theory, economic and social justice, economic theories of famines, decision theory, development economics, public health, and measures of well-being of countries. 

    Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, PVC born in Pune, Maharashtra,  was an officer of the Indian Army and a posthumous recipient of the  Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military decoration for valour in face  of the enemy. He was martyred in action in the Battle of Basantar in the Battlefield of Shakargarh during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 where his actions earned him his honour.

    Sultan Raziyyat-Ud-Dunya Wa Ud-Din, popularly known as Razia  Sultana, was a ruler of the Delhi Sultanate in the northern part of the  Indian subcontinent. She was the first female Muslim ruler of the  subcontinent, and the only female Muslim ruler of Delhi. Razia's ascension was challenged by a section of nobles, some of whom  ultimately joined her, while the others were defeated. The Turkic nobles who supported her expected her to be a figurehead, but she increasingly asserted her power.
