Raghunath Anant Mashelkar, also known as Ramesh Mashelkar, is an Indian Chemical Engineer, born in a village Mashel in Goa and brought up in Maharashtra. He is a former Director General of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. He was also the President of Indian National Science Academy (2004-2006), President of Institution of Chemical Engineers (2007) as also the President of Global Research Alliance (2007-2018). He was also first Chairperson of Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR). He is a Fellow of the Royal Society, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng), Foreign associate of US National Academy of Engineering and the US National Academy of Sciences.

स्वातंत्र्यापूर्वी एक दशक व स्वातंत्र्यानंतर एक दशक अशी किमान वीस वर्ष जवाहरलाल नेहरूंनी भारतावर मोहिनी घातली होती. पंतप्रधान म्हणून तर ते देशाचे निर्विवाद नेते होते. त्यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली देश दमदारपणे वाटचाल करत होता. राष्ट्रबांधणी, पायाभरणी आणि प्रगतीशील विकास यात त्यांच्या नेतृत्वाने मोठं योगदान दिलं. जागतिक पातळीवरही अलिप्ततावादाचं नेतृत्व नेहरूंमुळे भारताकडे होतं. मात्र चीनने भारतावर केलेलं आक्रमण आणि त्यात झालेली पिछेहाट यामुळे देशाला धक्का बसला. पाठोपाठ नेहरूंचं निधन, लाल बहादूर शास्त्रींची अल्पशी कारकीर्द आणि काँग्रेसमध्ये सुरू झालेली तीव्र सत्तास्पर्धा यामुळे देश ढवळून निघाला. मात्र पाकिस्तानसोबतच्या युद्धात भारताने मिळवलेली विजयश्री आणि नंतर इंदिरा गांधींच्या कणखर नेतृत्वाचा उदय यामुळे देशाला दिलासा मिळाला.
Informative session about the important personality. Rudolf Christian Karl Diesel was a German inventor and mechanical engineer who is famous for having invented the Diesel engine. Diesel was the namesake of the 1942 film Diesel. At the age of 14, Diesel wrote a letter to his parents saying that he wanted to become an engineer. After finishing his basic education at the top of his class in 1873, he enrolled at the newly founded Industrial School of Augsburg. Two years later, he received a merit scholarship from the Royal Bavarian Polytechnic of Munich, which he accepted against the wishes of his parents, who would rather have seen him start to work.
Hamid Umar Dalwai was a social reformer, thinker, activist and Marathi language writer in Maharashtra, India. He also established the Muslim Secular Society. He organised many public meetings, gatherings, conventions and conferences to campaign for better social practices. He was also a great Marathi litterateur. He wrote Indhan (Fuel) - a novel, Laat (Wave) - a collection of short stories and Muslim Politics in Secular India - a thought provoking book. He used the medium of his writing for social reform.

His martyrdom electrified an underlying militancy in India, and prompted urgent action within the Indian National Congress's eventually successful non-violent campaign for India's independence.
Lata Mangeshkar is an Indian playback singer and music director. She is one of the best known and most respected playback singers in India. She has recorded songs in over a thousand Hindi films and has sung songs in over thirty-six Indian languages and foreign languages, though primarily in Marathi, Urdu, Hindi and Bengali. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award was bestowed on her in 1989 by the Government of India. In 2001, in recognition of her contributions to the nation, she was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour and is only the second vocalist, after M. S. Subbulakshmi, to receive this honour. France conferred on her its highest civilian award, the Officer of the Legion of Honour, in 2007.
Louis Pasteur ForMemRS was a French chemist and microbiologist renowned for his discoveries of the principles of vaccination, microbial fermentation, and pasteurization. His research in chemistry led to remarkable breakthroughs in the understanding of the causes and preventions of diseases, which laid down the foundations of hygiene, public health and much of modern medicine. His works are credited to saving millions of lives through the developments of vaccines for rabies and anthrax. He is regarded as one of the founders of modern bacteriology and has been honoured as the "father of bacteriology" and as the "father of microbiology" (together with Robert Koch, and the latter epithet also attributed to Antonie van Leeuwenhoek[

Raja Ram Mohan Roy was an Indian reformer who was one of the founders of the Brahmo Sabha, the precursor of the Brahmo Samaj, a social-religious reform movement in the Indian subcontinent. He was given the title of Raja by Akbar II, the Mughal emperor. His influence was apparent in the fields of politics, public administration, education and religion. He was known for his efforts to abolish the practices of sati and child marriage. Roy is considered to be the "Father of the Bengal Renaissance" by many historians.
Shiyali Ramamrita Ranganathan was a librarian and mathematician from India. His most notable contributions to the field were his five laws of library science and the development of the first major faceted classification system, the colon classification. He is considered to be the father of library science, documentation, and information science in India and is widely known throughout the rest of the world for his fundamental thinking in the field. His birthday is observed every year as the National Librarian Day in India. He was a university librarian and professor of library science at Banaras Hindu University (1945–47) and professor of library science at the University of Delhi (1947–55). The last appointment made him director of the first Indian school of librarianship to offer higher degrees. He was president of the Indian Library Association from 1944 to 1953. In 1957 he was elected an honorary member of the International Federation for Information and Documentation (FID) and was made a vice-president for life of the Library Association of Great Britain.
