The federal government is facing more questions over its contracts with the big consultancy firms.
In the latest development, it's been revealed Deloitte used artificial intelligence to prepare a report to the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
The Department spent $440,000 on the report, which contained errors and a made-up quote from a Federal Court judgement.
Deloitte has now issued a partial refund for the report.

A spokesperson for the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations provided the following statement to ABC Radio National Breakfast:
Deloitte conducted the independent assurance review and has confirmed some footnotes and references were incorrect.
The Secretary of the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations has provided an update on progress under the Targeted Compliance Framework Integrity Assurance program. That update notes a correct version of the statement of assurance and final report has been released.
The substance of the independent review is retained, and there are no changes to the recommendations.
The department continues to focus efforts on addressing the substance of the report, as part of broader work to assure the integrity of the Targeted Compliance Framework.
Deloitte has agreed to repay the final instalment under its contract. When this transaction is finalised, the Contract Notice will be updated on AusTender.
