OFFICIALS SAY BUILDING A NEW CAMPUS WILL COST ROUGHLY 30-MILLION DOLLARS—ABOUT THE SAME AS RENOVATING THE SIXTY-YEAR-OLD CURRENT FACILITY. CONSTRUCTION WILL TAKE PLACE IN PHASES OVER SEVERAL YEARS, WITH INITIAL SITE PREPARATION EXPECTED TO BEGIN BY DECEMBER.

          TRIAL IS SET TO BEGIN NEXT WEEK FOR THE MAN CHARGED IN A FATAL 2024 CRASH ON SCOTTSVILLE ROAD. 35-YEAR-OLD JORGE LOPEZ ITURBIDE FACES MURDER, ASSAULT, AND D-U-I CHARGES FOLLOWING THE CRASH THAT KILLED A TWO-YEAR-OLD CHILD. All charges have been held to trial against a thirty-six-year-old DuBois man and former Clearfield teacher accused of inappropriate sexual contact with a student. State police say John Timothy Chelednik faces multiple felonies—including sexual contact with a student and corruption of minors—following an investigation into improper communications and incidents at the end of the school year.

In missing persons news, state police have confirmed that human remains found near the DuBois Reservoir belong to seventy-three-year-old Garry Lee Keller. Keller went missing in July twenty-twenty-five after going fishing in Union Township. Authorities state that no foul play is suspected.

And in Reynoldsville, a sixty-seven-year-old man is behind bars on felony assault charges following an ongoing neighbor dispute. Police say Peter Zheng intentionally rammed his van into his neighbor's truck twice during an argument on East Main Street.

In county court news, a former Clarion couple has been sentenced to serve one to two years in county jail for the twenty-twenty-two malnutrition death of their five-month-old son. In Steuben County court news, Corning murder suspect Jonathan Rivaldo faces a new felony assault charge after allegedly attacking a fellow inmate inside the county jail. The twenty-nine-year-old is currently held without bail as he awaits trial for the rape and murder of a ninety-year-old woman.

According to reporting from WNEP-TV, state troopers attempted to apprehend thirty-one-year-old Dakota Seth Baillie in Troy Township on outstanding warrants. Authorities say Baillie fled at high speeds on only three tires before crashing on Orchard Hill Road, where he was partially ejected and airlifted to the hospital with severe injuries.

In local real estate news, a new market analysis by Zumper Rent Research shows apartment rental prices in Elmira have jumped twenty percent over the past year.
