A twenty-three-year-old Guys Mills man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Monday south of Conneaut Lake. Crawford County Coroner Eric Coston reports Jaysen Scott Walters died of blunt force trauma after the vehicle he was riding in left the roadway and struck a utility pole in Sadsbury Township. The driver was transported to Meadville Medical Center, and the crash remains under investigation by Conneaut Lake Regional Police.

A Cochranton man is headed to trial facing his fourth driving under the influence offense. Thirty-six-year-old Lucas James Steider waived his preliminary hearing after an April crash on Limber Road revealed methamphetamine, marijuana, and prescription drugs in his system.

A traveling memorial displaying nearly one hundred crosses adorned with safety vests and hard hats was on display at the PennDOT maintenance office in Meadville this week. The display honors ninety-three fallen PennDOT workers statewide, including ten from Pennsylvania's northwestern region who lost their lives in the line of duty.

And PennDOT maintenance crews are conducting spray patching on Route 285 in Sadsbury Township and bridge repairs along Route 198 in Woodcock Township this week, with drivers urged to use caution in work zones.

In Butler County, a twenty-two-year-old Pittsburgh man has been sentenced for his role in a large-scale corrupt organization. Amire McLeod was sentenced to two-and-a-half to five years in state prison, followed by three years of probation, after pleading guilty to felony charges of corrupt organization employment and drug manufacturing and delivery. Investigators say McLeod participated in the criminal ring operated by his father alongside eleven Butler-area co-defendants.

Authorities in Erie County are investigating the fatal shooting of a young juvenile in Millcreek. Millcreek police and the Erie County Coroner's Office report the male teenager died at UPMC Hamot from a gunshot wound. The investigation remains active with the District Attorney's office.

Over in Youngstown, humane agents with Animal Charity of Ohio rescued over fifteen dogs from a home Monday afternoon. Responders say an elderly couple voluntarily surrendered the pets after becoming overwhelmed. One dog was rescued while in active labor, and veterinarians report both the mother and puppies are in stable condition.

And Youngstown police arrested an eighteen-year-old wanted on a felonious assault warrant after responding to reports of shots fired at a party on Robinwood Place.

Steuben County District Attorney Brooks Baker praised the quick response of the Corning Police Department, which located twenty-nine-year-old suspect Jonathan Rivaldo in Bath within five hours of the attack.
