A Sunday afternoon house fire in Treasure Lake has left one home a total loss and caused damage to two neighboring properties. Emergency crews rushed to the ten-thousand-block of Treasure Lake Road following initial reports of victims trapped inside. Firefighters successfully evacuated everyone safely, and no injuries were reported. The state Fire Marshal is currently investigating the cause of the blaze.
Commuters in Clarion face significant travel disruptions this morning after a sudden bridge washout completely shut down Route Sixty-Eight. PennDOT has closed the roadway between Water Run Road and Boundary Street. Repair crews are working on the scene, and officials are warning drivers to never bypass barricades or drive through standing water.
And Brookville Borough Council has approved an emergency one-hundred-and-eighty-day moratorium blocking all data center development. The temporary ban was passed to protect the local water supply after leaders learned two proposed facilities could drain over two million gallons of water per day from the borough's system.
