Good morning.
Emergency crews spent yesterday afternoon battling a major, fast-moving house fire in Treasure Lake. First responders rushed to the ten-thousand-block of Treasure Lake Road just after three o'clock following urgent reports of a structure fire with victims trapped inside. Firefighters immediately began an aggressive sweep of the burning home while working to contain the blaze. The cause of the fire and the condition of the occupants remain under investigation.
Meanwhile, the Clearfield County Fair Parade officially kicks off tonight at six o'clock in downtown Clearfield. The massive lineup features local marching bands, emergency vehicles, and Shrine performers moving down Market Street—with a strict reminder that candy must be handed out by walkers, not thrown from moving vehicles.
And the Jefferson County Fair is officially underway in Brookville following yesterday's opening ceremonies. The fairgrounds will feature local motor races tonight, a professional rodeo this Friday, and nightly remote-control car giveaways.
