Hey Wilder fans! It’s your eclectic DJ, spinning the wheel of musical fortune. As I'm playing "The Last DJ" by Tom Petty, I'm reminded that I guess I'm not the last DJ but I am your DJ.
After over 6 years and 300 shows, we are free to play exactly what we want when we want. Here at RadioWilderLive.com, we’re not shackled by charts or confined by accountants. We’re riding the airwaves of liberty, thanks to the internet’s magic and our fantastic fans from over 120 countries.
This week’s Flashback Friday is revving up with “Scheduled for Production,” a nod to auto production, not musical melodies. But fear not, our playlist is a towering jukebox of new, vintage, and downright delicious rock sounds that’ll get you dancing, romancing, or just chilling.
As I curate this post, I’m plugged into the electric riffs of ‘Rollin 7’s’ by Dirty Honey. And who’s that taking the stage? It’s Def Leppard with ‘Rocks Off,’ a double-barreled blast of rock glory in my ears!
The Deuces are Wild today, with the Beatles and Smithereens stirring the pot. And here comes Coldplay with "Orphans," a tune that’ll tug at your heartstrings.
The musical parade doesn’t stop there; we’ve got LA Guns, Hawaii Mud Bombers, the queen Aretha, Little River, Indigo Girls, and so much more!
Big shoutouts to The Inside Self Storage crew for an event that was larger than life, bustling with energy and action. Teri, Amy, Debbie, and all the ISS stars – you rocked it!
From one of the 250+ vendors, a massive thank you for making it all happen.
Stay tuned, stay wild, and keep rockin’ with RadioWilder!
This week at RadioWilderLive.com, we're cranking the time machine back to a show that left us stunned and rocking – the one where we WON GOLD for our weekly Rock N' Roll podcast! Not one, but TWO awards! We snagged a GOLD BAR for a killer episode featuring the one and only "White House Doctor," Dr. Connie Mariano! Huge thanks to Hamm's for being among the first to fuel our podcast fire (because what goes better with chili than beer? Exactly!), and a shoutout to Wolf Brand Chili for keeping the party warm.
️This week's playlist was a wild ride, thanks to a killer request from Cheryl Lee! Captain Dave had us pondering with his question of the day: "Is it me or have you decided to go out of your house without your pants on?” We jammed to the best of Boomtown Rats, The Caper Clowns, Chris Montez, Candi Staton, Willie Nile, Chris Farlowe, and Prince – a lineup guaranteed to get your head bobbing.
Speaking of rocking out, a big shoutout to The Inside Self Storage World Expo happening right now at Caesar's Forum in Las Vegas! Check them out at https://lnkd.in/gbPm7s8t.
Thanks as always for listening, Wilder Nation! We'll keep the good times (and the awards!) rolling.
It all started with a cherry-red glint in the corner of my eye, a beacon of freedom on two wheels. At 14, in the heart of El Paso’s Upper Valley, I stumbled upon a treasure - a red Allstate scooter, tagged at $125.00, whispering tales of the open road.
For days, I gazed longingly, until courage took the wheel. The owner, a college-bound chap, agreed to a secret deal. My piggy bank bled $90.00, but dreams are worth every penny. And soon, with $125 in hand, the scooter and I were one.
We zipped through backstreets, fueled by youthful rebellion. My first taste of independence? A daring dash for gas, venturing beyond the familiar lanes. For two glorious years, that scooter was my wings, my covert companion in crime.
That little red ride revved up a lifelong love affair with all things fast and furious. From 65 cars to a fleet of motorcycles, I've had a mid-life crisis ever since.
And now, Capt’n Dave is here to fuel your Friday with a rock ‘n’ roll odyssey! We’re kickstarting the journey with Pearl Jam’s electric anthems, cruising through ‘The Kid with the Butterfly Net’, and Cake’s defiant ‘I Will Survive’. Jerry Butler’s soulful serenade joins the mix, while Jesse Malin and Lucinda Williams bring ‘Dead On’ to life.
Don't miss our ‘California Dreaming’ cover in the Deuces are Wilder segment. So buckle up, tune in, and let The Internet Radio Man take you on a wilder ride than ever before.
A special shout-out to the Inside Self Storage crew - Vegas awaits your grand showcase next week! Thanks for tuning in, and remember, when the rubber meets the road, RadioWilderLive.com is there to crank up the volume!
Step aboard the airwaves with Capt’n Dave at the helm of Radiowilderlive.com’s Flashback Friday.
Dive into the sonic sea where nostalgia meets novelty—all curated by the legendary voice that’s rocked the radio realm, Capt’n Dave. From the heart of the storm to the calm of the studio, he’s the maestro who’s mastered it all: commercials, requests, and the art of the opener.
Remember the Tsunami that roared through Guam? Capt’n Dave was the beacon in the night, a steadfast voice for 48 hours straight, guiding and guarding lives with every broadcast.
Now, he’s back to steer the ship of rock ‘n’ roll, spinning tales and tunes for the globe to groove to. As always, dial in your requests to our hotline at 602-935-4989 (toll-free in the US) or at [email protected] for international fans.
And don’t miss out on the treasures at Grayson’s gift shop, open 24/7 at radiowilderlive.com and radiowilder.com. This summer, gear up with our fresh-off-the-press Capt’n Dave and The Internet Radio Man t-shirts—a must-have for any music aficionado.
So, tune in, turn up the volume, and let Capt’n Dave’s golden pipes serenade you with the classics and the latest hits, all from his trusty tugboat studio. Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey. Keep listening, wilder fans.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, rockers of all ages, we’ve spun the globe with tunes and tales, from stage to digital pages. Six and a half years, through time and space, our tunes have traversed the globe. Now, RadioWilderLive.com hits 300 episodes, and the party’s far from over.
From 120 countries, in 1400 cities with joy, our songs have landed, on Apple Store and Google Play, our app’s been grandly branded. Through Spotify, Apple Podcast, and more, our reach has been quite stellar, and now we’re cruising into retro vibes as Harry hands the helm over to the legendary Famous Capt'n Dave.
The show will still carry updated ads and song requests and free tees from Grayson’s gift shops. At 9:00 EST, both stores open, with treasures you’ll adore. Our popular ‘Conversations’ will also keep on streaming, on the RadioWilder YouTube channel. Harry himself will still be gracing the stage occasionally, ready to fill in for Capt'n Dave when the high seas get rough.
But why this momentous shift, you ask? Well, this whole adventure started as a simple digital footprint for Harry's daughter, Shelly. The power of rock and roll, and the amazing response from thousands of listeners around the globe, transformed it into a full-fledged radio phenomenon.
So here’s to you, our wilder crowd, who’ve made this journey sweet. Stay tuned, stay wild, and crank the volume with every wilder beat.
This week, RadioWilderLive.com invites you to a musical time capsule—a journey through the soul-soaked alleys of Chicago’s Blues Scene, where the air hums with stories and the harmonica wails like a weathered heart.
Billy Boy Arnold, the last living blues sage, stands at the crossroads of history. For half a century, he’s been the heartbeat of this gritty city, blowing life into his harp even as the world spins around him. At 88, he’s still got that fire—the kind that burns through the night, leaving echoes in its wake. He’ll weave his magic with “Dirty Mother Fuyer,” our Sticky of the Week.
Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes, Thelma Houston, and George Benson gather in our Deuces are Wilder corner. They harmonize like old friends, singing “Don’t Leave Me this Way.” Their voices, like silk and smoke, wrap around your heart and refuse to let go.
The Smithereens, Pretenders, Black Keys, Tom Petty, and Mink Deville—they’re the fuel for our musical engine. So turn up the volume, let your hair down, and dance like nobody’s watching.
And then, there’s The Weeklings. A name that doesn’t scream greatness, but oh, they’ve got it. They spill secrets about “All the Cash in the World.” Listen closely; it’s a wild ride.
Howard Steele, our Rock n’ Roller Extraordinaire, shares a gem from Canada’s Trooper.
One more show before Capt’n Dave steers the ship into Retro Radio Wilder waters. So gather 'round, my friends, for episode #299.
Thanks for the birthday love—it’s the best gift a radio host could ask for and thanks for listening to RadioWilderLive.com. As always, remember to rock on and stay wild.
The stage is set, the amps are cranked, and the spotlight is on. It’s Harry’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Birthday Bash at RadioWilderLive.com, and we’re about to kick it up a notch!
“They say it’s my birthday” – and they’re absolutely right! Today, the cosmic jukebox spins in my favor, and I get to unwrap musical gifts like a kid in a candy store. Let’s dive into this electric playlist, shall we?
First up, we have "Carry On" by Kansas from Tiffany, our social media queen to set the tone. Straight from the sultry streets of Ft. Lauderdale, we have "Let It Lie" by Shadow Fringe. Teresa, all the way from Rock Hill, South Carolina, gifted us the anthem "We Built This City." Greg Craven, representing Georgia, had a hankering for some ZZ Top swagger with "Sharp Dressed Man." I played a few of my old ‘Judson Jukebox’ favorites and sprinkled in some brand new Black Crowes.
Our 'Deuces Are Wilder' of the week is "Woodstock" , a Joint Mitchell cover. Picture this: Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young jamming under a star-studded sky. Their harmonies wove a tapestry of memories – peace signs, tie-dye, and the scent of freedom.
And what’s a birthday without cake? I’m crossing my fingers for that Peanut Butter masterpiece from The Tee Shirt Maven (my wife). But even if it doesn’t arrive, fear not! I’ve got a vault of golden tracks right here – melodies that shimmer like sun-kissed vinyl.
So, my fellow rockers, tune in, turn it up, and let’s celebrate! Whether you’re air-guitaring in your living room or dancing on the rooftop, know this: Harry’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Birthday Party is where legends are born, riffs ignite, and memories echo through eternity.
Thanks for listening to RadioWilderLive.com, my friends. And remember: Rock on, and may your days be filled with electric solos and encore-worthy moments!

And if you think that’s cool, wait until you hear the brand new track from Marc Ribler & Story Road. Marc is the musical director for Little Steven, who you may know from Bruce Springsteen, The Sopranos, or The Underground Garage. His new song, Armageddon, is a blast of pure rock’n’roll energy that will make you want to dance like there’s no tomorrow.
