  • RadioWilderLiveDotCom #284-On the Air with Poppy

She’s back and ready to record! Poppy Behrens the publisher of Modern Storage Media will be chatting with Harry at the Camelback Studio this Saturday, and we couldn't be more excited. MSM has been the most respected trade magazine for self-storage operators, owners, developers and investors for 40 years. We know there will be tons of stories told and what we can look forward to in the coming year. After that, she'll unveil her ’Poppy’s Big Beats’ ... her top 10 favorite songs which will be up on RadioWilderlive.com in mid-November.

This week, we have a big-time lineup to showcase Poppy and we lead off with a brand-new song from the great Paul Rodgers from Badfinger, 'Free and The Law'. Awesome voice! How about Dolly Parton doing a Rock n’ Roll album? We have the first cut from it, and Dolly can DO Rock n’ Roll. Still has that powerful voice! Great Deuces are Wilder with Neil Young and Josie Cotton. Ed Sheeran, a new tune with Eyes Closed, Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa, The Stones, Elton, Doobies, Deep Purple and much more on the playlist. Shout outs to the Texas Self Storage Association for their big show, we heard it was awesome! Thanks as always for listening and enjoy the show!

  • RadioWilderLiveDotCom #280 LEARNING TO 'CUE rev

The "BIG" story of RWl#280 is the brand new single by The Rolling Stones called ’Angry’. This is fresh, new material and their first original music in more than 10 years. Mick says, “We just got lazy”.Their new album is due out around the 20th of October. The album title is ‘Hackney Diamonds' and it refers to a district in east London that is known for its art, music, and beautiful green parks and spaces. ’Hackney Diamonds’ means, “It's like when you get your windshield broken on Saturday night in Hackney, and the bits go flying all over the street.” The Stones have a great live interview on their site with Jimmy Fallon. It is pretty funny and very cool. We wanted to make sure that the Stones had a great lineup to back them - and we do! Lightin' Hopkins was born in 1912 and rated as the 71st greatest guitarist of all time gives us ’My Starter Won’t Start in the Morning.’ George Harrison, Dorsey Burnett, Darius Rucker, The Wallflowers, and The Knack keep the show rolling. For Duran Duran fans, brand new from them is ’Danse Macabre’ in their first new release in a long time! Shout outs to the Texas Self Storage Association and their upcoming ’Big Ideas’ trade show in Ft. Worth. beginning on Sunday, October 8th and running through the 10th.Thanks as always for listening and for your requests!

And George Jones is thirsty for a little more than his song "Root Beer" says. Ever heard of King Gizzard &The Lizard Wizard? Well, you will now. For those like me who have never heard of Grace Potter, get ready to be rocked. She is awesome and one of those rare discoveries we were lucky to be turned on to. Her debut on the show won’t be her last! The title of our show this week refers to the time of the year when the weather in Phoenix turns spectacular, and for the next six months, we have tons of visitors. We have a new tune from our own Alice Cooper off his brand new album called,’ Road.’ T.Rex and Bono share the Deuces are Wilder segment while Mouse and the Traps join us again by request and Rock n’Roll Hall of Famers from Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Van Morrison, Joe Walsh add music muscle to the lineup.
