🤯 9 YEARS OF RADIO WILDER: FROM A SIMPLE IDEA TO 10,000 HOURS! 📻✨

Checking out the music for this week’s show, I was struck by The Yardbirds' track Happenings Ten Years Time Ago. It really got me thinking... ten years ago, I hadn’t even seriously considered creating an audio leave-behind for my daughter!

Fast forward to today, and as we approach our massive 9th Anniversary on September 24th, it is truly HARD TO BELIEVE what this journey has become! 🎉

📻 THE ORIGIN STORY: Fun fact: I originally wanted the name ‘Wilder Radio’, but it wasn’t available. So, we launched as Radio Wilder—and today, I wouldn’t change it for the world! 🌍

The original goal was maybe 6 to 8 hours of audio, splitting the playlist between my favorite songs and hers. The reality? We now have between 9,000 to 10,000 HOURS recorded! 🤯 About 75% of those tracks are mine, and the rest come directly from YOU GUYS, our incredible listeners! That is SO COOL! 🙌

🌍 A WORLDWIDE FAMILY: Because of this show, I now have friends all over the globe and have even been invited to stay at the home of one of our absolute favorite bands! Radio Wilder has been a true BLESSING. 🙏 (By the way, next week I’m going to highlight some of our fantastic guest ‘Conversations’, so stay tuned for that!)

As we steamroll toward our MASSIVE 9th Anniversary this September, I was looking at some stats our Executive Producer, "Big L" Laurent L., sent over. He tracks the hits and listens for all 450+ of our shows, and my mind is officially BLOWN! 💥

Here is how it works: a new show might get 150-200 listens in its first week. But three years later? That same show has been rocked to 500+ times! We have shows from 5, 6, or 7 years ago hitting as many as 3,000 listens! 📈

What I am getting at is... we might have reached a worldwide audience of around ONE MILLION PEOPLE! 🤯 Absolutely CRAZY for little ol' Radio Wilder, which just started as a digital leave-behind for my daughter! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! ❤️

We just returned from the most EXOTIC adventure through French Polynesia—Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea, and the Marquesas! 🏝️ We rallied a crew of 12 to celebrate our good pal Ray T's birthday, and man, did we have a BLAST! 🎉

We sailed aboard The Spirit, snorkeled off killer catamarans, cruised alongside pods of DOLPHINS (and yes, even SHARKS! 🦈), inner-tubed through wild caves for hours, and hit up way too many spots like Big Island Candy to even count! 🍬 After four incredible days in Tahiti, we sailed five days straight to HAWAII. There is nothing more beautiful! 🌺

🎙️ BUT WE ARE HAPPY TO BE BACK! We are back behind the mic and ready to rock! This week’s show is completely STACKED.
