Let’s start with the big birthdays! First, Happy Birthday to our very own ’Social media Queen ’Denise B, the ’Mr. Packer’ Korey H. and then producing our show Friday on her birthday, ’Baby Ruth’!

Next shout outs to Amy A. and the folks from the Arizona Self Storage Association, who put on a great trade show. Finally, kudos to Toy Storage Nation for their excellent Executive RV and Boat workshop last Saturday. Nice work, Amy, Darren and Judy B!!

• We have a little music to talk about for the weekend starting with new songs from Spoon and The Dollyrots.
• Deuces are playing a song I used to love playing ’Paint It Black" by The Stones and covered by Eric and The Animals.

Early in my lifetime of passion for rock n’roll music, I was drawn to the British groups and their covering of some of the great American musicians like Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly.

Our show this week is called’ Double Deuces’ because we picked up not one but two brand new ones.

So in the middle of our last weeks show, I wondered what it might be like to go back in time and take 1 song from each of the first 25 shows and do a show from that. So I did!

From show 1 thru 25 it produced a pretty fun musical listen.

• We started with the Beatles opening with ‘You Can’t Do That’ and finished with White Denim’s 'Holda You'.
• We have Crown of Thorns, Avatar, Cold Play, The Verbs, Eric Hutchinson, Janiva M., City of Love, The Stones and of course we selected The Deuces from around the 18th show because we didn’t have plans for ‘shows’ and no Deuces early on!
• Come enjoy the First 25 shows with us Friday and let me know what you think.
• Baby Ruth is actually under the weather with the seasonal flu, but she is sure the show will be up by around 4:00PM Eastern.

The Rock world lost an icon on January 12th when we said goodbye to Ronnie Spector.

As the leader and founder of the Rock Hall of Fame group ’The Ronettes’ she helped and worked with ’Wall of Sound’ producer, Phil Spector to create some of the most memorable songs from the 60’s like ’Be My Baby’ which we will play and highlight her as our Sticky in this week’s show, #202, The Beautiful 2’s.

The marriage between Phil and Ronnie was both tragic and bizarre. So as I looked at the show’s playlist for this week, we have some wacky and bizarre music ourselves!

• Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon, then there’s Mickey Leigh’s mutated music. Who is Mickey Leigh you ask? Joey Ramone’s brother! Amphetamine Annie, Funk #49,You’re crashing, but you’re no Wave. Get the picture?’
• Baby Ruth ‘is working hard in her new fruit orchard and is harvesting loads of lemons and oranges, but says the show will be live by 3:30 Eastern.
• Shout outs to Arizona Self Storage, Copper State Executive RV and Boat Storage, the Stow it group and Donna L. and her Arizona team.
• RIP Meatloaf!

Our radio broadcast on Christmas Eve ’Constantly Listening to Music’ is what millions of us do on a daily basis and it is always a mood changer! It takes on new meaning for me because I am now writing down and saving music that we want to play for you! The music can come from restaurants, stores, radio and television or from my library or from our listeners.

When I gather my scattered notes up and put’ ‘em in a show and they flow, it is lot’s of fun. This show is like that.

• Icons like Marty Robbins, who has a very interesting life story, new music from Alice Cooper ’Sister Anne’ or classics like Runaway from Del Shannon.
• How mournful John Hiatt is on ’Perfectly Good Guitar’ a very Christmas song request ’Mary Did You Know’ from Pentatonix and what a cool cover Ann Wilson does on Life In The Fast Lane.
• If you can’t make the show because it’s Christmas Eve, it might make some fun Christmas Day listening.”
• Baby Ruth’ is now moved in to her new castle and I think it’s called studio ’D’ but regardless ,she says get your early musical fix by 2:15 Eastern.
