Alice Watkins speaks of her work in Raleigh, NC and reveals her passion for caring for Alzheimers Disease patients and their caregivers.

Monica Cutno holds Chemical Engineering and Chemistry degrees from North Carolina State University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Monica worked in the chemical industry doing sales, marketing, business management, and corporate finance. She also worked as a business consultant in Bangkok, Thailand for two years. Upon returning to the United States, Monica transitioned to the financial services industry, working for a large brokerage firm and then a smaller boutique firm.

Monica currently serves on Junior Achievement of Eastern North Carolina’s Board of Directors, the School of Technology’s Executive Advisory Board at North Carolina A&T State University, and as Counselor for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) student chapter at North Carolina State University.

Monica’s passion is education. She is the President of Envision Science Academy, a public charter school she co-founded in October 2012. The school opened on August 4, 2014 in Raleigh with 252 students from 8 different counties in NC. Envision Science Academy’s mission is to provide innovative instruction through experiential learning with a focus on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) in order to prepare elementary and middle school students to compete, lead, and excel in the global marketplace.

I am a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the Charlotte Division, Raleigh Resident Agent. My current assignment is Cyber Intrusion investigations, both criminal and national security. I began my career as a FBI Special Agent in 2004 in the Cincinnati Division, investigating White Collar Crime and Violent Crime. I have also been assigned to the Philadelphia Division, investigating Public Corruption, and to FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC, where I was a Supervisory Special Agent at the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force. I am a member of the FBI’s Evidence Response Team (ERT) and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with the FBI’s Operational Medical Program.

Before joining the FBI, I was an accountant with an international accounting firm. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from N.C State University in 2000 and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from N.C. State University in 2001. I am Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Angela Gorsica Alford biography:

Angela started editing video in high school where she was lucky enough to have access to an editing suite at the vocational school. Her interest in the technical aspects of video led her to study electrical engineering and computer science at Vanderbilt University. While at Vanderbilt, Angela played a key role for the top-ranked women's basketball team from 1994-1997. Angela turned down a position in the WNBA to start her career as a software engineer for Motorola and Sony-Ericsson, where she was a technical team leader coordinating international projects. After a motherhood sabbatical, Angela started her own video production company in 2007. Her love of telling personal narratives led her into documentary work. Her first documentary film, "Granny's Got Game", has screened across the country and received several distribution deals. She currently works as a freelance filmmaker and video editor working for non-profits, small businesses, and doing personal histories.

Ashley > Ascott is the Director of Development for Dress for Success Triangle. Prior to joining DFST, she volunteered with the organization for five years. Most recently she co-founded a women's giving circle called Women for Success Triangle This groups exists to raise money for DFST through events. IN its inaugural year, WFS raised over $30,000 to benefit DFST.
