  • RB037 – Izellah Connelly – Mon-18-Jun-2018 – Rae Bonney
Eleven year old Izellah Connelly is a vibrant, acting, singing and dancing artist from the sunny shores of Queensland's Gold Coast. Most recently playing the role of Matilda in the Royal Shakespeare Company's multi-award winning production of Matilda The Musical, she’s also had numerous leading roles, including The London Palladium production of The Sound of Music and Opera Australia's 2014 production of The King and I.
Without straying too far from her glittering career as a theatrical actor - in collaboration with some of the world's best producers and writers - Izellah found time to unleash her debut music single, called 'Unbeatable'.

  • RB036 – Travis Strong ~ White Owl for Men’s Health Awareness – Mon-04-Jun-2018 – Rae Bonney
In the lead up to Men's Health Week (11-17 June), we kicked off a show, all about Men ... and their health. I recently joined the committee of White Owl for Men's Health, a fair dinkum, hard working group of people, dedicated to making change and reducing health risks to men.
Travis Strong (co-founder) joined me for the second time this year to continue highlighting many of the unknown issues that impact the wellbeing of our men and how we can do a better job supporting, identifying and recognising that men also matter.
We're also took a special moment to commemorate the life of a much loved man, husband, father and friend to so many - Richard Whitehead "Beno", who died suddenly, on May 20, 2018, just days after his 51st birthday.

  • RB035 – Steven Savino – Mon-28-May-2018 – Rae Bonney
At a very young age, many of us have the great fortune of being inducted into a system of education - groomed to become "something" that will sustain the rest of our lives. How do we choose an occupation, so important, with such little experience? Do we follow pennies or passion?
Steven Savino picked up his first tennis racquet at the tender age of 11 and from that moment followed his intuition. Some 30 years later, dedication, determination, and trust in his gut has led Steven to become an internationally recognised, professional tennis coach. He joined me to "serve" up some "ace" "deuce" on what it feels like to have followed his career "match" all over the world.

  • RB034 – Jacqui Lambie – Mon-14-May-2018 – Rae Bonney
Jacqui Lambie has always stood out from the mediocrity of Australian politicians - even in the announcement of her exit from the Senate after being caught up in the ridiculous 'Citizenship Crisis'. Her no-nonsense response that politicians who unwittingly breached Section 44 of the Constitution should just 'suck it up', deal with their fate and run for Parliament again, is a typical approach that endears her to many.
During her time in Parliament, Jacqui has been a somewhat refreshing and authentic Australian voice in the Senate. Love her or otherwise, you can't deny Jacqui is, fair dinkum, hands down, the "real deal" as she continues to stand steadfast for matters that include a better deal for our military veterans, and a sustainable system of care for those afflicted by the scourge of ice addiction.
Jacqui joined me on the line to talk about these matters and share some titbits from her brand new, warts and all autobiography "Rebel with a Cause".

  • RB033 – Glenn Taylor ~ Nursing and Midwifery Health Program Victoria – Mon-07-May-2018 – Rae Bonney
It's no secret that nurses and midwives can often neglect and sacrifice their own health and wellbeing for the sake of others. Whilst this is a commendable characteristic, it's important to recognise, that in order to support others, their self-care is critical. The Nursing and Midwifery Health Program Victoria was established to provide advice, support and case management to nurses, midwives and students of nursing. Initially addressing challenges presented by substance use and later, associated mental health concerns.
Glenn Taylor, a registered nurse and CEO of the NMHP, joined tmew to talk about the many challenges facing this extraordinary helping profession and also sharing the personal journey that led to his very own calling.

  • RB032 – Glenn Patrick ~ The Collegians – Mon-30-Apr-2018 – Rae Bonney
Back in the early 70s, music legend, David Bowie, confessed to enormous self-image problems and very low self-esteem, while filling auditoriums with impassioned fans.
I'm welcoming for the third and certainly not final time, Glenn Patrick from Australian band, The Collegians. He’s keen to share what it's really like being the front man of a band which, according to industry critics, is poised to take the world by storm.

  • RB030 – Madison Daniel – Mon-16-Apr-2018 – Rae Bonney
Entertainment plays such a huge part in our society, not only generating trillions of dollars for our global economy, but provides employment, relaxation, escapism and engagement for billions of people. Not often do we consider a person behind the entertainer's mask, what road brought them to this place of supposed fame and fortune.
Madison Daniel, accomplished actress and musician is sharing her story with us on "It's OK to not be OK". She had her first stint in Neighbours when she was only 13 years old, and appeared in many other Aussie series including last year's hit ABC series Seven Types of Ambiguity. This amazingly talented woman now glides back and forth from Melbourne to the USA, where she works hard on her skyrocketing music career whilst auditioning for big name projects with Netflix, Warner Bros. Pictures, Disney and Nikelodeon. Listen to Madison’s story and a live performance of her new single "Love is Love".

  • RB029 – Rachel Conyers and Donna Gairns ~ Treat Unique – Mon-09-Apr-2018 – Rae Bonney
Cancer is the leading cause of disease related and non-accidental death in Australians aged 15-25 years. In Victoria alone, there are around 400 adolescent & young adults diagnosed each year (1500 in Australia).
Established by paediatric, adolescent and young adults, malignant haematologist/oncologist Dr Rachel Conyers (Rachel Katherine), Treat Unique Service is the first of its type to be provided within the private health care setting to treat common cancers in adolescent and young adults. Rachel is supported by specialist team including Haematology and Oncology Nurse Coordinator Donna Gairns. Rachel and Donna are joining me to discuss how Treat Unique provides patients the space to explore and work through challenges with experts from oncology, haematology, nursing, social work and mental health care.

  • RB028 – Ineke Carey and Steve Carey – Mon-12-Mar-2018 – Rae Bonney
Humans are generally quick to adapt to change, despite being resistant to it, this is true biologically, socially, and culturally. But how do we manage our expectations when too many changes occur at once?
Today I’m speaking with celebrity sweethearts, Ineke Carey and Steve Carey about their own bittersweet story of unexpected change and how they've managed to keep stars in their eyes and wolves from the door.
