Two fired lawyers walk into a bar, each carrying a chicken and a cucumber. Inside, a double arranged marriage and an unplanned, spontaneous wedding are in full swing. If the fired lawyers are also normal-sized brats, how many…queer romance…podcast hosts…are in attendance? If your answer was four, then you must be ready for your next weekly dose of MM romance book recs!

It’s a Rat Chat week here on Rainbow Book Rats: a Queer Romance Podcast. Brought to you by four feral besties who have left their book nests to nerd out about their latest reading recommendations with you, and as always on a Rat Chat episode of our queer podcast, we'll be discussing how our week went, how great the lgbtq romance books we read this week were, and what's on our book radar of new and upcoming queer romance.

JD stumbles into a demon bar of debauchery while talking about The Alpha Demons series by Ivan Axelson, afterward, they gush over the newest Extra Credit book, High Achiever by Grae Bryan, with the other BRats. Kit brings us along to a ranch with no animals but one very lonely Daddy while discussing Dear Daddy, Please Love Me by Gianni Holmes, and then contemplates the joy of curling up for a nice long nap with Violent Devotion by L. Norell. Megan’s searching for favors under bricks as they recount Covenant and Deviant by Cora Rose & Lark Taylor, and Caity keeps the butter in the holster while telling us about Screwed by KM Nehold.

We’re one BRat down, but no less chaotic! Caity’s cuteness aggression is whispering in her ear to bite, shake, and chomp until the cows come home. Protect your spinal corn and get ready for a more free-form version of our usual Rat Chat! It’s a Feral Rat Chat week here on Rainbow Book Rats: a Queer Romance Podcast. Brought to you by four feral besties who have left their book nests to nerd out about their favourite reads with you, and on this special edition episode, we’ll be telling you about the books we’ve read, and discussing what we’re going to read next!

Caity keeps her parts away from the superglue as she gushes about T!ts Out Slits Out by Emma Elizabeth, and JD hops in to help hype the deliciously filthy secret bathroom hookups in Charisma Check by Charlie Novak! Since Caity’s been on a roll with reading this week, she also tells us about Pinned by Love by Elaine J. Daniels. Sometimes, all you need to go from rivals-who-won’t-wrestle-together to wrestlers-who-use-the-ropes-for-some-X-rated-action, is a little forced friendship time.

Also on Caity’s list of books read was a certain monster book that you know JD is beyond feral for, so it wouldn’t be a complete episode without Caity giving JD her thoughts on Suck by Cora Rose and E.M. Lindsey.

Next, JD and Kit team up to tell us about a cinnamon roll plant dad who gets dragged into helping unleash the dragon in Dragon AU by A.M. Rose, and Kit keeps us guessing, but gives us some intriguing details about Entangled by Gale Ian Tate.

Check out episode nine (Ohhhhh, That’s Tasty) for extra discussion of Suck, and episode one (Sad Boy Show Out) for more about Immersed, the prequel to Entangled.
