I bring two very special guest dear to my heart my mentor Elder Thandiwe who is a successful Family Lawyer in the community with her own practice and her talented son Khalfani Hill who is on his way to a promising career in basketball as he plays for team Canada and one day NBA 🤞🏽🏀The focus is on Queens but we can’t forget our Kings. It’s important that young girls, women know the power that they possess as we create and bring life on earth. It is important that we safeguard our mind, body, and spirit. As Queens we must hold ourselves to a higher standard and have self-love. As a Queen you decide to hold yourself to a higher standard, not out of perfectionism, but because you want to be the best you. Loving yourself is the bravest thing you can do when you choose to live your best life. As Queens we must walk boldly on our path and have no fear to lead.

In todays episode we talk about the power of decisions and choices. You are always one decision away from a completely different life. The choices we make today lead to our tomorrow. The choice is yours. I don’t know about you, but I get stressed when someone’s asks me about what I want to eat let alone life decisions. We have ability to make choices and that’s the purest expression of freedom. The freedom to choose allows us to shape our lives the way we want to. Some choices are easier to make than others, but the choice is yours to make. Freedom is realizing you have a choice. On this day April 18, 1980 Southern-Rhodesia gained independence from the British, taking the name Zimbabwe. Today as she celebrates the independence of her beloved country she also celebrates Easter Monday. Easter is significant because it marks the resurrection of Jesus, and celebrates the defeat of death and the hope of salvation. Although Rain Akaï grew up in a Christian household she still holds that she does not like religion. However, she recognizes the significance in the teachings and continues to walk in faith and is a proud believer of God. In this episode she respects the past and the trials and tribulations endured and speaks on the power of forgiveness. God calls us to forgive and it’s not easy to do but it is a must in order to move on and live our best lives. Rain Akaï wants all her raindrops to live their best lives authentically and encourages raindrops to forgive, let go, and let God.

We need a cultural reset. We need to take responsibility for where we are and build a new future with confidence and as allies of one another. Since the beginning of time God created Adam and then created Eve as a helper. The story of Adam and Eve is always brought up and Eve is always highlighted as the one who cursed us all. There has been a lot of pain and suffering on both men and women. We have seen the battle of the sexes play out in pop culture as we applaud others for their masculinity and femininity. While others suffer in silence for their masculinity and femininity. A community is made up of people and people are individuals. We have a responsibility as a community to have the uncomfortable conversations so we can reach new levels of enlightenment. We are all wonderfully and fearfully made in the image of God and we need to start walking in that power and light as it is in all of us. In todays episode we take a closer look at women and men who have represented the culture and who are referred to as “ Alpha males and “ Alpha females” . In the midst of Hollywood’s “me too” feeding movement as a call for attention in the wake of too many sexual abuse allegations to count, the topic of what’s being called “toxic masculinity” is brought to the forefront. The truth is that there’s a greater agenda at play here, and it’s the elephant in the room that noone’s talking about. In both my personal and professional life, I’m a woman who spends most of her time in the company of alpha males and I too am labeled as an “alpha female” so I said let me tackle this hot topic raindrops and try to break it down , deconstruct , reconstruct our way of thinking. I play devils advocate as I put 2 and 2’s together. I love and absolutely embrace these “ Alpha” qualities, both in males and in myself. I want other women to embrace it too if they fit it and to be unapologetic about it. We need to scrutinize our own culture and fearlessly identify what is really going on here. I’m happy to be crucified for that if my message also meets some like-minded individuals who will find it enlightening . The success and survival of the human race is due as much to woman’s reproductive power as it is due to man’s power to protect and provide. Balance is found by establishing mutual respect; not by diminishing one side or the other.

In todays episode we are joined by special guest Aisha Vortex who is a model and content creator. We get into what it means to have integrity in todays society and the importance of having integrity when navigating our lives . It is the small decisions that lead to bigger decisions and we must make decisions that guide us to be who we are called to be. As young women navigating business it’s been a journey but we stand on the importance of having integrity in a world that is constantly pressuring us. We all have a moral compass and this is what guides integrity. In order to have success one must have integrity . Integrity is not measured by money but it reflects in your character and the way you carry yourself and treat those around you. Martin Luther King Jr once said “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy” and having integrity is not always easy but it is always worth it. You must attract what you expect, reflect what you desire, become what you respect, mirror what you admire. Integrity is the core of our character and without it we have a weak foundation.

Meeting new people and making new friends may seem like a scary thing to do. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Not everyone you meet will turn out to be a real friend and that’s a WORD. Choose growth today and step into who you are destined to be. It’s never too late to be yourself unapologetically. Every day you have a choice to make better decisions. The decisions you make today prepare you for your tomorrow. You are one decision away from living a completely different life. Evolve or Dissolve …. How many times have you heard “ it runs in the family” and you CRINGE 😬 and you’re like HELL NO “ this is where it runs out” ? Raindrops, let me tell you something about breaking these generational curses… it is not for the WEAK. One must do the shadow work of healing as this is generational. It is incredibly important and sacred work that we are all required to do at some point in our lives. It’s time to break these generational curses and TO NOT LOOK BACK. The past is the past and it is important to focus our eyes on the future. Let’s build up children and a society whereby adults don’t need therapy to heal from their childhood. We must speak life, speak love, speak in truth, speak wisdom. We must be hopeful for a better future for all of us where we are our most authentic self. Hurt people hurt people is a popular saying that we can no longer accept , but challenge and use it to GROW. No more excuses … what’s stopping you from doing the shadow work ? Break the cycle by using, speaking, and acting out of love. Love is all we need and it starts with the love we have for ourselves. Keep loving on yourself and be gentle with yourself.
