THIS SEASON IS OVAH. Congratulations to the 2023 World Series Champion Texas Rangers, a team we all expected to win the world series at the beginning of the season. 

The Rangers seemingly had the series pretty well in hand the whole time and got it down in 5 relatively anticlimactic games. They hit, they pitched, they filled in injury holes, they did it all. 

We take a look at some of the interesting options, opt outs, and qualifying offers as we enter the offseason. Some interesting names are staying put, and some are hitting the open market.

PLAYOFFS?! Don’t talk about playoffs. You kidding me? PLAYOFFS!?

Well, Jim Mora, we talk about the playoffs this week. 

We run down final standings, as this last week was pretty wild with some moving and shaking within the playoff picture. 

Each wild card series gets a look and we make our predictions (because we are very good at predicting things) on who is going to move on to the Divisional series. Surprisingly, every team gets at least a little bit of love.

Finally the fruits of our weekend predictions have really come to fruition as the prediction rankings set our draft order for our 1st inaugural Rake Your Position World Series Winner Draft, hosted by Roger Goodell himself.

The final week of the season is upon us…and the rakings get a little strange as we near October.

The AL awards for this year are, well, pretty much already decided. Great job everyone, but go ahead and pack it in.

SPEAKING OF AWARDS WE GOT A SPICY MEATBALL HERE WITH THE HOST (yes, not Joe), with a rant this week. He’s probably not wrong, I don’t want to admit it though.

We take a look at some of the whacky and wild promotions and giveaways from years past. Should teams get more creative or are we in a good spot? Should the Utter Tuggers be the alternate uniform for more games in a year? How about the Brewers just change their name to that full time?

We wrap up our weekend predictions with a few bonus points to be had, we’ll see who wins…and maybe what that means for them. Even we don’t know!

Waino finally joins the 200 win club, and he somehow did it with an ERA over 7. Nothing but love from everyone on the pod for Waino as we take a walk down the boulevard of Cardinal dreams.

We've somehow made it to episode 24 so we celebrate the only way that we know how - talking about The Kid with the sweet swing everyone knows and loves.

In this edition of appreciate or reinstate we discuss.....BUNTING. Statistically a terrible play, why would you ever do it? What? 3 of the 4 of us want to see more bunting? Do we even know what we're talking about. Absolutely not.

THIS WEEK: Same teams are still good.

We spend some time discussing the NL award races because our predictions were...no bueno. Should first basemen get more love? Probably! Is one going to win the MVP? I doubt it. Does the MVP award go to the most VALUABLE player? Or the best player?

The Cy Young race very close with no real clear cut winner, there are 4 guys that are excelling in different areas and it's anyone's ball game at this point.

Corbin Caroll seems to have the RoY award pretty well wrapped up, but there have been some nice surprises and a guy in Colorado that is having a great 2nd half.

Finally on this weeks edition of Appreciate or Reinstate we discuss knuckleballers. It seems to be a dying art, but boy, do we love those whacky tossers.

As the season winds down it seems like the rakings are becoming pretty stagnant, so we also take a look at what teams are still not performing up to their potential…and some that are still playing a little over their potential.

Is the Braves lineup this year one of the greatest of all time? We take a look at some of the best lineups and teams to ever play. Murderer’s Row was pretty good…but they only played against a little bit different of competition.
