Kyle shares his ranching story and I love his willingness to recognize the need to change and actually make a change. So many find it easier to go broke doing what is comfortable than to make a change. He also shares that it turns out being very low input isn't always enough, he didn't own the cows or equipment at the start. But there wasn't enough money coming in to make it work. Lots to learn from Kyle!

Welcome to the Ranching Returns Podcast, formerly known as the Herd Quitter Podcast! I've been asked a bunch why the change? Are we leaving Pharo Cattle Company? And to settle all of those concerns I wanted you all to know that nothing really will be changing as far as the podcast that you've been accustomed to listening to! The podcast has grown over the past three and a half years to now being listened to by a few thousand people every week, it seemed like it would be good to rebrand just to make a clear separation between the podcast and Pharo Cattle Company. After all, Kit Pharo is the original Herd Quitter and always will be. So what is the Ranching Returns Podcast? We will continue talking to farmers and ranchers who are leading the industry in so many things. We'll talk about the many returns they get from ranching including obviously the expreme financial returns, but also returns to their land resources and ultimately an amazing lifestyle, and that might be the most important return that Ranching can offer! So stay tuned, because every Monday, we'll release another new episode of the Ranching Returns Podcast!
Jarrod and Becca share their incredibly inspiring story of loss and financial struggles to what is now a large, diverse, successful and growing business that has a focus on minimal debt! So much to take from this conversation I hope that you enjoy!

Austin and his wife are exactly the type of story that inspire me! What they have done to expand and scale their enterprise is fascinating. They manage thousands of acres and sheep and he drops a ton of value while sharing his story in this podcast!

John is running a cow/calf and crop operation in Wisconsin. I really enjoyed this conversation where we discuss the best ways we have found to make cow/calf work in this region with high snowfall and crusty snow. I also just love stories of folks building operations from scratch like John is doing!
