On this week's episode we welcome Bethany Mis to the banter. We talk about the real estate market and Bethany becoming the mayor of the best neighborhood in the Tampa area. Duff shares that there are several rodents that predict if there will be 6 more weeks of winter, not just 'Punxsutawney Phil'. The conversation then shifts to what their career aspirations where when they were kids, and Megan shares multiple hilarious stories of her just falling down on different occations. Then the guys ask Jim about his battle with addiction, different paths he was on, and Jim explains how $1.50 worth of "residue" got him put in jail. On this weeks episode, Jesse Hadley joins Larry and Duff in St. Augustine, FL for some banter. They discuss their group trip to the ancient city to celebrate Duff's 40th birthday. The guys describe their experiences exploring the city including getting thrown out of the group's 2nd stop on a hunting themed pub crawl organized by Duff's wife, Joanna. Then, Jesse and Larry reminisce about growing up together in Oxford, MA. Finally Jesse tells the story of finding out he had an older brother in his late 30's. This week's Rando Banter is a special New Year's edition. Larry and Duff have their wives Megan and Joanna join to talk about the accomplishments of 2022 as well as the rollover resolutions from last year that haven't changed for 2023. Then they all look ahead to 2023. Larry suggests a new podcast name, and they discuss new travel plans that Joanna wants to get on the books for any and every reason possible. Everyone looks back on their 2022 music year in review based on their listening platforms. Larry disagrees with the algorithms and his top 5 songs. Joanna's top 5 are all by the same artist. Megan's top 5 actually surprises Duff. Lastly, to get it on record, everyone documents their 2023 resolutions. Then they make a plan check back on them on the podcast in about a year to see if they all failed as miserably at them as compared to 2022. Happy New Year! Enjoy!

After that they discuss the best (and worst) Christmas songs, movies and why certain Christmas events should be avoided by those without the holiday spirit for the sake of everyone involved. The wives join in on the Banter this week. Duff and Joanna tell the tale about their road trip to Athens Georgia to see their favorite artist, Hardy. They were joined on their trip by their friend, the much talked about Phil. Duff outlines his strict requirements for road trip traveling companions. Joanna details how she "fan-girled" it for the whole ride, the hours leading up to the show and during Hardy's performance. They talk small concert venues as the Duff's describe what they love about Hardy and share stories from the concert. From there the Duffs dive into a few places to go in Athens and also Tallahassee which was the next stop on the road trip. Finally, the discussion turns to how frustrating it is to buy tickets through Ticketmaster and how that process is getting out of hand. Enjoy!
