What’s a better way to start off a new season than with Slam Poetry about octopus and eggs? On the first episode of Season 2 of Random Talk, “Math is Ew” starts it off with a Hot Take, while “Jacen McFlurry” brings up Matthew’s best friend’s (and co-star’s) song “drivers license” blowing up everywhere. Matthew shares (too much information) with his experience throwing up at school, and Tacen explains that he is an ninja star throwing Lumberjack (but hates all Jacks). Matthew brings up his love for showers, they reflect back on the Milk Man’s legacy, and talk about the legendary Master Oogway! Just remember in the wise words of the turtle “There Are No Accidents...”

After not fulfilling their “New Years Resolution” (on week 1) the boys return with a banger season finale! Matthew starts it off with a hot (physically cold) take, and is disappointed that he didn’t get his late-night spicy chicken sandwich. Tacen sparks a conversation about baked beans, green beans, Mr. Bean, Lord of the Beans, cool beans, and even Dude Perfect Beans... Get ready for the biggest debate full of hot takes so far on the Random Talk Podcast! After filling out their brackets (and doing some research) the boys discuss their picks of some of the best 32 Disney-Pixar Animated movies of all time! In an episode full of last minute rearranging and late-night laughs, we learn Tacen has a brother-sister connection to Lilo & Stitch, and Matthew still loves his Toy Story 3 toys. They both agree that Wall-E sucks, and become the conductors of the teenage girl train! Matthew can’t forget about the hug, and can’t pronounce anything, while Tacen expresses his obsession with the Cars franchise (Lightning McTacen! Ka-chow!). They still have no clue what Pocahontas is about, and both advance Hercules (and Meg) pretty far. I’m not sure what’s gonna hurt your ears more: The loud static sound or Tacen’s singing...In critique of the banger songs, nostalgia, and recently bias, Matthew and Tacen both come up with their own champion. Monsters Inc. falls short, Princess And The Frog just hits different, and Frozen could just be the best movie of all time...

Elmo, Grandmas, and Dr. Fauci. What do all three of these things have in common? Christmas of course! On this holiday, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and Christmas special the boys get a voice memo from a Randie (Shoutout from the Random Fandom!), Tacen gets off topic as he shares a story about his dodgeball skills (shoutout Alfredo, Johnny, and Mr. Hulsey!), and Matthew likes the anticipation of Christmas Eve even more...They learn Santa is immune, Tacen is single, and the vibes are definitely on! (You already know!) Matthew presents an insane dramatic reading of a classic Christmas song, and they break down who’s on their naughty and nice list...Grandma got ran over by a reindeer, Jim Carrey’s Grinch is freakin scary as heck, and Elmo keeps making episode appearances! On this (lucky number) 7th episode, the boys set New Years Resolutions for the podcast, and Tacen breaks down what “nothing really matters” really means. They reflect back on and praise Bill Nye (The Banger Guy!) and get in a “meated” debate (?) over the classification of sandwiches and eggnog. The boys both express their love for NBA2k MyCareer, Tacen is back on the grind, and end it with a cringe “Rhyme Time”. On this extra (extra) long episode Matthew and Tacen try not to bring up fresh babies and big pickles (it was only a couple times), they address what triggers them about Instagram posts, and discuss Tacen’s thoughts on Christmas culture and Christmas Trees. (No decking the halls in Tacen’s future house) Meanwhile their curiosity grows on the worldwide beauty pageants and research who the latest “Miss America” is. Episode 5! The Win-Win-Win Episode! Tacen comes down with a potential case of the Rona (hopefully he won't die, unlike Trey), and cries about not being able to play basketball, while Matthew is very happy about his "Discover Weekly, Weekly Update" success rate (new segment!), and is going to cry if the episode doesn't end (pray for his bladder). They take (way too much time) discussing the perfect playlist, and everything you need to know about music. We learn Tacen is a little crazy, and that his brain is now the same viscosity of maple syrup...Meanwhile Jerry is still on his phone (not paying attention), while the boys go back in time on Christmas Day...They end it with lot's of laughs and no wet pants.
