Discodromo are an Italian duo named after a circular runway for ufo's. Alongside Berghain resident DJ Boris they are responsible for the Cocktail d'Amore parties in Berlin and have released music on labels including Internasjonal and Dissident. Their sets often seem them travel through hypnotising grooves and percussive flutters.

Prequel Tapes began earlier this year when the man behind the project stumbled across old recordings of his new wave/industrial band from the late 80s and early 90s. By incorporating samples from these tapes into the exerimental music he was making on vintage drum machines and synthesizers, Prequel Tapes was born.

Combine the creative minds of former Sepultura drummer Iggor Cavalera, fellow Mixhell member Laima Leyton, and Dinamo Azari (of Azari and III fame) and what you get is None of the Above - a new project that combines live drums, dark synths and obvious acid influences.

N/O/T/A are a mysterious bunch - with just one release to date and no Facebook or Twitter - so here at R$N it's a honour to bring you not just a mix, but also an insight into the brains behind the project...

DrumTalk's intricately detailed rhythm-structures twist into complex kaleidoscopic patterns beneath tracks that sway from esoteric, afro-caribbean referencing dance tracks, through difficult, fuzz-swathed techno into the realms of lighter, more accessible stuff that could happily be heard on Radio 1 late at night.

Piquing the interest of giants in the realms of taste-informing (Gilles Peterson, Seth Troxler, James Holden, Skream & more) his new record on Crosstown Rebels is available digitally and on vinyl now. Well worth a listen, we caught up with DrumTalk and asked him about punching Jeremy Clarkson and waking up to Pharoah Sanders...

As the weekend rolls around yet again, though it seems like far too long since the last one, we need something to get us in the mood for that essential part of the week. Fortunately, Josh Caffe is on hand to provide us with 75 minutes worth of mixing delights that'll get you right in the mood to paint the town whatever colour you like. Having just released Give It To Me, an EP alongside PJU and Robert Owens, we asked Josh to give it to us on both the mix and word front. So tune in to his sounds and read his words as you give yourself that good old-fashioned Friday Feeling; http://www.theransomnote.co.uk/music/mixes/josh-caffe-the-friday-feeling-ransom-note-mix/

While there's plenty of love to be given when one person but together a great mix, there's three times as much adoration from us when you've got the dynamic trio of the Kate Boss team all coming together and pulling as one aural force then there's something pretty darn special in your ears. Their central London disco party has seen the likes of Friendly Fires, Justin Vandervolgen and Krystal Klear appear as special guests in the last few weeks so they must be doing something right. So we'll leave you in the more than capable hands of the Kate Boss team as they give you a delicious mix to chew on and we have a good chat with one third of their team; http://www.theransomnote.co.uk/music/mixes/kate-boss-the-ransom-note-mix/

I'm Pene - aka Thanasis Besinis - and I run the Professional Crap Dancers mobile party crew in Athens, Greece.

Professional Crap Dancers have been playing music for sweaty basements and sun-drenched rooftops for the last nine years or so - as well as bringing international guests to Athens such as Ray Mang, Haules Baules and Phillip Gorbachev. Also, I've been in the studio alongside DJ and producer extraordinaire Tonny Lasar making our own productions under the "Long Distance" alias with some of the results to be released (fingers crossed) real soon.

As London becomes more untenable and unrealistic as a home for those without a Lordship or a livery, many seem to be escaping our smoke and exploring elsewhere. An early escapee was Mark Henning, a former UK inhabitant who left for Berlin a couple of years ago, the official pilgrimage of the aspiring electronic musician - to the holy land! Where the landscape is affordable and community is burgeoning. He's just about to re-release his track 'Trojan', (the original release of which goes for silly money on Discogs now) on his own label Swing Recordings, and he's assembled an intelligent, informed and tightly woven mix for us here...
