Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

On this evening’s show we’ve got some songs about animals, we’re going to celebrate Mildred Hill’s birthday, we’re going to see how much we don’t know and we’re going to celebrate the 4th.

Segment 2: Who Knows
June 25 in 1942, the first broadcast of the radio quiz show spoof “It Pays to Be Ignorant” aired over WOR Radio. So here’s a set of songs to commemorate “It Pays To Be Ignorant”.

July 1 way back in 1874, the first zoo in the United States opened in Philadelphia, PA. So, here in commemoration of the Philadelphia Zoo, are some songs about some animals you might find at the Zoo.
