Do you know who this distinguished looking gentleman is? He was known as “The Tango King of England” and “The English Glenn Miller.” That’s right! Bandleader Gerald Bright, better known by his one-word professional name, Geraldo. Along with Leonard Joy, he gets his own birthday segment on this week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records. One of these weeks I’m going to produce a show in which I don’t have to make a correction or clarification, but this isn’t one of them! The show starts off with a correction to last week’s show, but the good news is that you get to hear Lewis James. In the first segment of the show we’ll dig ourselves some holes. In the last two segments we’ll visit the Brooklyn Bridge and take a quick musical trip to Sweden.   There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and be magically transported back to a different (and we think better) musical era.
