Do you know who this lovely lady is? She’s Jane Froman, pictured in 1934 when she was polled as “the number one female singer on radio. But radio wasn’t her only medium. You’ll find out all about Jane and hear three of her recordings in the second segment of this week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records. Starting off the show is another birthday celebration, that of Lee S. Roberts, in which you’ll hear three fine examples of his songwriting talents. In other segments, we’ll hear some “raggedy” records (referring to their titles, not their condition!),  we’ll express some gratitude and do some cookin’ with butter. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage, relax and be transported magically back to a different musical era.
