Rapidly Rotating Records 78 RPM Show – October 18, 2020

Listen Later

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

So why is there a picture of the Smith Brothers on the page this week? Well, because you’ll be hearing from the Smith Brothers toward the end of the show. But not the Smith Brothers shown above.  Find out which Smith Brothers in the segment spotlighing pianist Harry Merkur.  This week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records starts off with yet another edition of “One Thing in Common.” This time, there are ten records which seemingly have nothing whatsoever to do with each other, but in fact, have one thing in common. Pianist Harry Merkur get his very own segment for the first time and we’ll wrap up the show with a bit of sunshine. There’s plenty of great music and interesting information, so just click below for the complete playlist and to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.

ENJOY THE SHOW!
