Rapidly Rotating Records 78 RPM Show September 20, 2020

Listen Later

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

“Cowboy Love Song” is the first recording of the song you know better as “Red River Valley” and you’ll hear all about the song and the Red River Valleys (yes, plural!) in the second segment of this week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records. We’ll also celebrate the birthday of Bob Miller in not one, but two segments. In the first, you’ll hear recordings by Bob Miller and His Hinky DInkers, Bob Miller and His Scallawaggers and Bob Burnett’s Trio. I the final segment of the show you’ll hear tunes written by Bob Miller, but performed by others. And in the third segment, you can’t stop me!   There’s lots of great music and interesting information so…

ENJOY THE SHOW!

I hope you are all safe and healthy and doing as well as you can be given the current world situation and stay-at-home orders and that this hour of music gives you a bit of diversion and entertainment. Thanks for listening and best wishes!
