Rapidly Rotating Records 78RPM Show – 14 July 2019

Listen Later

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

Although I have a script and playlist for an April 8, 2007 show, I don’t have a corresponding audio file. This means that either the show was live from the KISL studio and there was no air check to post, or the show was never done. So for this week’s show we’re going to use the script and playlist and recreate that April 8, 2007 show. We’ll have some sister acts, celebrate the birthdays of Victor Schertzinger and Yip Harburg, celebrate National Poetry Month and listen to this past week in recording history. Keep in mind that it’s now July, 2019 and so the dates and events will refer to April of 2007.

Enjoy the show!
