Welcome to Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78RPM records of the 1920s and’30s.
On this week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records, we’re going to take a musical trip to Monterey, California. Monterey was the capital of Alta California under both Spain and Mexico. From there, we’ll go clear across the country to visit Coney Island in New York. And we’ll be traveling by train. We’ll also do some wiggling and hear some songs about captains. Ah, but what kind of captains? There are lots of kinds of captains, ship’s captains, military captains, airline, fire and police captains, and of course, captains of industry. Listen to the show to find out! If you enjoy the show, please let us know by leaving a comment on the website or the Facebook page or sending an email to [email protected]. And remember, your requests and topic segments are always welcome. As always, just click on the link below to instantly listen streaming online and/or download the show.
