The Song is like reading a young man's romantic journal. He is writing about and chronicling his heart for his bride. God teaches us so much through this book. The bigger picture is God's relationship with His bride. This week's podcast covers the first chapter.
God's plan is good. His rules and ways are good. Romantic love between a man and a woman is good the way God planned it. God shares with us from His book the first human love story. He performed the first wedding ceremony , and then throughout Scripture, God unveils so much more about love and marriage and baby carriages as the pages of His Word are turned. And then He gives us the Song of Songs. Such a beautiful book and a reminder of God's heart. In this week's podcast, I introduce the book. I trust it will encourage you.

God wants to use every hurt and sorrow for His great glory and our great good. Sometimes our pain may go on for a long time. In fact, sometimes it goes on for a lifetime but because this world is not our home, it will not go on forever. And through it all, God promises: "And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, Who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you." Oh my, how He takes care of us.
At some point in my Christian life, I began using the phrase "obey what you know." It came from this verse in John's Gospel: John 14:21 says "He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”
Obedience to Christ doesn't save us, but it is certainly a mark of salvation. If we love Him, we will obey Him. That's what He says. We don't know everything, but we know some things, and if we obey what we know and keep learning His Word, He reveals more of Himself to us. That is amazing. I talk about my journey learning this principle in this week's podcast.

I had the privilege back in 2015 to be interviewed by my daughter on Danvers Audio and this week on the RBR podcast, we are playing that episode! It was a great time with GraceAnna while Grant was in seminary and a part of CBMW (Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood). We talked about all kinds of things - from being a pastor's wife to women's ministry in the church to raising children in the home to using your gifts in the body of Christ to submitting to your husband to being single. I pray this will encourage you!!
I encourage you to give CBMW a follow!

Grateful to have had all of my family here for Thanksgiving. It was such a bountiful time together around our table AND we Broggi women also squeezed in hosting a family/close friends baby shower for Marilyn! She and Jameson are expecting their first child, a little girl, in January. My girls and grandgirls had so much fun decorating and showering love on their sister-in-law/aunt. On this week's podcast, I share some thoughts from my heart as I have been reflecting on the last few days in the Broggi home.
Psalm 16:7
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.
A Biblical Vision for Discipleship
In this session, GraceAnna helps women to see that mothering is discipleship and is part of a greater unseen reality of building God’s Kingdom. She shares three truths from God’s Word that women in all seasons of mothering can cling to.
A Biblical Vision for Children
The world often views children as burdens, but God’s Word unequivocally states that children are blessings. In this session, GraceAnna shares what the Scripture teaches regarding children and also delves into the physical and spiritual blessings that children bring to a family.
