  • Re-tired Ep. 013: Catching Up from Cuba

Despite some audio issues, Tina & Sue are able to catch-up even as Tina calls in from Havana, Cuba. Tina went from retrieving her scooter from the shop, to calling in from a hotel lobby where she was able to get wi-fi. Along with the scooter, the '67 classic is being worked on, and Tina discusses the work in getting her philanthropic tour company set up. Sue talks about the fun of participating in the local artist studio tour.

  • Re-tired Ep. 005: Boredom?!

Sometimes retirement is associated with boredom. Tina and Sue each have a different perspective about boredom and re-tirement, but there's nothing boring about their conversation. Tina sees the chance to put on new wheels as a gift of time that sparks clarity for the new adventures ahead. Sue see re-tirement as the opportunity to embrace other parts of who she is and reclaiming herself.

  • Re-tired Ep. 004: International Women's Day

    Happy International Women's Day!

Sue & Tina welcome their first guest, retired teacher Kate Bowen. Kate and Sue taught together before they each re-tired, so sharing another version of finding new tread that was relatable was easy. Kate continues to educate, wanting to "make sure history happens". All three discuss their amazement about not having received much Women's history in their upbringings, understanding that is called his-story for a reason. Tina reminds us that, "evolution takes time."

About Re-tired: New Tread

From the publisher's feed

"Re-tired" is the podcast where your hosts, Sue & Tina talk about what life is like when we put on new tread for new adventures. We'll explore what it means to re-tire. Like any good road trip, we'll have great company and a load of fun. "Re-tired" will host meaningful conversations with feminists about shifts in life. That could mean discussions about new job or careers, new identities, new starts, and more. In sharing, our hope, our drive, is to not only listen and hear, but to understand and empower ourselves and each other.
