Grizzmass continues with our annual holiday tradition: a cheezy made-for-tv Christmas romance. This year, we’re watching The Spirit of Christmas AKA Christmas Ghost, the film about a hard working attorney who falls in love the a ghost who owns a B&B.

It’s not the best movie, but it sure is interesting. Why is this ghost wearing Old Navy sweaters? Can ghosts own property? If a guy and his fiance are both dead, is it technically cheating to sleep with him? What ghost rules apply in this universe? So many questions. But mostly, just weird delight over Christmas Ghost.

It’s the holiday season again (and a happy Grizzmass to you!), and this year we took our first swing at celebrating Hanukkah. Well, it turns out there aren’t a lot of great Hanukkah movies, as we discovered when we watched the Adam Sandler animated film Eight Crazy Nights. Not only is it a terrible film with strong racist and transphobic tendencies, it’s also not about Hanukkah at all. Oops.

ECN follows the standard Sandler unlikable sad sack as he makes unbearable down-punching jokes and half-ass songs. It’s incidentally Hanukkah, but that’s not nearly as important as making fun of seizures. The only really good thing is it’s a brief 76 minutes long.

Okay, I know this isn’t a Grizzmass episode. But it is the top voted on topic by the Meat Buddies and it just narrowly missed Wet Month and The Rocktober, so somehow it snuck into the month holiday month anyway.

And it kindof is a holiday, or at least a vacation from using your brain. In this weirdo remake, The Rock is a lifeguard who thinks he’s a spy or cop, and uses the power of his smile and homophobic jokes to stop a drug smuggler on the beach. All while Zac Efron and a Josh Gad-type sexually harass women in impractical swimwear.

I was a finalist at the Seattle International Comedy Competition, so during the last couple days he gathered the other four finalists and they watched Sleepless in Seattle! It was incredibly fun. These guys are so funny, and this was the most time we’d spent all month just hanging out. And I think you’ll really like the results.

Taylor loves it, I liked it, and the rest of the group was more down. It’s a great spread. Plus we talked about what we like and don’t like and Seattle itself and whether or not the relationship in the movie could ever last.

#Podcrawl is back! It’s our annual show where we team up with two of our favorite podcasts to review a trilogy of movies together. This year, we’re watching the 90s rubber-suited Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies.

We had the 2nd movie, the Empire Strikes Back of the series. It’s pretty light on plot but on the plus side: Supershredder! And… pizza? Very little happens in this movie. But we brought together our super team of RiaW guests and hosts to talk about what the turtles meant to us as kids. It’s a super fun episode. We keep rocking on with amazing #Crossovember episodes. This week, we sat down with Tim Batt and Guy Montgomery from The Worst Idea of All Time to 2015 Zac Efron picture We Are Your Friends. Tim and Guy have seen it 57 times, but it was our first time and even that wasn’t very pleasant.

We Are Your Friends is about a young Zac Efron, a charming but bland LA disc jockey trying to make it big by writing a single successful song. Along the way he ruins some lives, Squirrel dies for no reason, and he wears very large headphones even when exercising.

It was a great time talking with the WIoAL time guys.

As we continue to celebrate #Crossovember by chatting with our favorite podcasters, we’re also breaking new ground on the show. We asked comedian Myq Kaplan what he wanted to talk about and he said his favorite podcast (besides ours and his), Savage Lovecast. And even though we’ve never talked about a podcast besides our own, we decided it would be great fun. And it was!

We talked about Dan, his answers, the time Alex wrote to an advice column, and played a new game “The Second Opinion” where re-answered questions written to other advice columns. And then we had the best ending to the podcast ever.

All month we’re hanging out with our favorite podcasters and talking to them about topics that mean something to them or their show. To start out, we sat down with Greg and Sarah from Funemployment Radio about Pump Up The Volume, the movie about a young Christian Slater hosting a pirate radio show that really touches people. It was the anthem to Funemployment’s early days which, like ours, were over 8 years ago.

We talk about the movie, about podcasting for a long time, and whether or not you should pretend to JO on the radio (you should not).
