Goodness I LOVED this chat I got to have with Mary-Lou Stephens! There are so very slight spoilers in this chat, but I don't think it will take away from the first read at all. This is a wonderful debut novel, I couldn't have enjoyed it more and cannot wait to read whatever Mary-Lou Stephens writes next x 
 Wonderful characters, wonderful sense of place and sense of time, this is a great novel

What an thrill of a thriller The Torrent is! Winner of the 2020 Banjo Prize and just released police procedural...I couldn't have been more pleased to get to chat with Dinuka McKenzie! What a treat!

I didn't actually ask anything articulate, I spent the conversation completely in awe and TBH on the verge of tears. It's taken me way too long to even be able to listen back to it! Cringe doesn't go far enough x  Luckily Fiona McIntosh is such a wonder the conversation is still worthwhile and I know I left the part in there when I have to wrap it up because I am crying with joy, that's just so you know I did try my hardest to record the best episode!

Life got in the way, but I wont ever stop being grateful for the life that I have that got in the way xx This is a conversation I got to have with Rural Fiction author Fleur McDonald last year. This was such a great conversation I was lucky enough to have with Mark Brandi recently. In it we talk all his novels- Wimmera, The Rip and The Others. I don't think there are any spoilers, just a great deal of gushing on my part; I am a huge fan. You can tell Mark Brandi is definitely interested in character and motivation, he does a wonderful job with people and the empathy is so apparent.

Steve Matthews released Hitler's Brothel last year and soon has Hitler's Assassins coming out...he spoke to me recently about these two as well as his next years release that will round out the trilogy and his path to publication. He also spoke to me about his 2018 book- The Skinny Girl, the details 'Daisy's'  experience of domestic violence. This episode isn't explicate, but it does discuss Hitler and we do go into domestic violence quite deeply x

This was a wonderful conversation that I had with Karyn Sepulveda recently. I love her and her novels. My audio in this episode isn't great, I don't know if maybe I was holding the mic down too low or if Karyn's audio is just SO good, but something to work on for next time... I loved The Women's Circle. It is a really special novel all about second chances, female support and the importance of connection.

When I first read The Nancys in 2019 I was surprised at how much I enjoyed a crime novel.  I was captivated by the love I had for Tippy Chan as she investigates the murder of her teacher alongside her uncle and his partner. I was so excited to read the sequel when it was released earlier this year. This is a series that is just getting better and better. I completely loved all the Nancy Drew love and the town of Riverstone is one I was so happy to be back in. I was overjoyed and I'm afraid more than  a bit excited to speak with Rob...such a treat
