Hi everyone! We're back with another episode.
This week we're talking mental health in honor of May being Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health, including support for those with mental illness and advocacy around destigmatizing mental health and mental illness, is something that is incredibly important to me. I will continue to promote therapy to anyone and everyone.
In this episode, I talk about how reading can benefit your mental health and four books that I believe depict mental health and mental illness well in modern literature.
TW: suicide, alcoholism, depression, anxiety, trauma

We're back with a new episode!
This week I talk about Trader Joe's grapefruit Italian soda and the art of the slow burn. Why do we love a slow burn book and what makes so burns so satisfying to read? I cover all my reasons why I love a slow burn book and why they are so intense. From the anticipation to the tropes, I cover why a slow burn is so frustratingly good to read.
I also talk about some of my favorite slow burn books. Pride and Prejudice anyone?

Hi everyone! We're back with another episode! In this episode, I (Lucia) talk about sustainable book buying and why I think it's important, and, more importantly, fun! I'm not going to lie, this episode is a little rambly but I do get to the point in the end.
You might be asking...what is sustainable book buying and why does it matter? Well, I answer those questions from my perspective. I also give you some tips on how to do it!

We're back and better than ever!
We're actually not better than ever...I (Lucia) am definitely sick but that's okay!
In this episode, we're talking about books and guilty pleasures and why I don't think there should be guilty pleasures.
What is a guilty pleasure anyway? A guilty pleasure is something, such as a movie, television program, or piece of music, that one enjoys despite feeling that it is not generally held in high regard. But who is deciding this and why is my book with a little spice *wink wink nudge nuge* a guilty pleasure?
Let's catch up, chat, and have a little pleasure.

Hello, fellow reading winos and Potterheads! We're back with another Magical Musings episode!
This episode is all about book #1, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I will admit, I did got a little (a lot) off script during my rantings and ravings about our beloved book #1. I cover whether Hogwarts has security (it doesn't obviously), if Hogwarts needs an institution-wide therapist (yes, yes, it does) and the house system and if it's really fair to Slytherins (what's your hot take). There are definitely some other book #1 nuggets of analysis included but this is the highlight reel.
What bothered you the most about book 1? Let me know!

Hello hello!
I'm back again with a solo episode. However, this is on my favorite topic in the entire world...HARRY POTTER!
In this episode (the inaugural episode of the Magical Musings series) I read some of your comments about Harry Potter and give my own general feelings on Harry Potter as a whole - be warned - I do go on a little bit of a rant.
We will be continuing this series starting with book #1 and working our way up.
What's your Hogwarts house? What are your feelings on Snape's redemption arc? Me, Myself and I want to know (iykyk)...

Taylor and Lucia are back together and definitely not better than ever! This week's podcast episode topic focuses on books that have our favorite coming-of-age stories, and they might not all be the books you typically think of for this topic!
Honestly, the majority of this topic is our honest conversation about how we're technically "of age" and how life is still messy and confusing and we're still figuring it all out. If you can relate or love a good coming-of-age tale (Little Women & Tara Westover's Educated make an appearance) join us in our "of age" discussion!

Lucia is back from vacation and flying solo this week! This week's episode is a topic that is close to Lucia's heart, adoption. There are a myriad of books out there that cover adoption in different ways but the one that means the most to Lucia is Anne of Green Gables.
The story of Anne of Green Gables shows that a family is a family no matter the makeup or blood relations. Listen as Lucia examines adoption in Anne of Green Gables and media in general and how she feels there needs to be more representation!
