Mona has a startling realization that shakes her entire world, and every judgment she’s ever made. When she makes an unexpected visit to see Emma, things don’t go the way she expects. Perhaps some relationships needed fixed.

This is a short one, but Mona is faced with a decision that seems impossible until Max brings calm to her storm.

Mona struggles to get over Max when his ex girlfriend comes for a visit. After a talk with Adam though, Mona finds herself feeling unsure about her feelings. Emotions run hot when someone comes to the Danby’s and shocks everyone with a huge bomb that ends in Adam and Emma breaking up. But the news ends up straining multiple relationships in Mona’s life.

Rodeo day! Max has been training Mona to be his alternate in case he can’t compete. The rodeo has its share of drama and tension when Chaz doesn’t fight fair in the competition. When Mona has to do the final race against Chaz, will she win against all odds, and win Max’s heart? Sounds like a lot of hopes riding on that race.

Mona goes on a date with Paul, but the entire night feels wrong, reminding her how much she wishes she could be with someone else. Max ends up saving her from an uncomfortable date, and they manage to rekindle a friendship.

Mona struggles to act normal after her moment with Max a few days ago. With him pushing her away, she finds herself pushing all her emotions away. It accidentally leads her on a ride through past the Danby property, unwittingly to the house of Max’s mortal enemy. Will Chaz be the distraction she’s looking for? Or will Paul help to mend her broken heart?

Just wanted to recap as we go over chapters 1-5, and my thoughts. Warning, there are some spoilers, not many, but still. Starting in to chapter 6 is sort of a turning point, so I just wanted to go over relationships up to this point!

After an incredible night ride with Max, Mona thought she’d finally understood their friendship. When Max gets grounded for going out with her that night though, she discovers that maybe she’s the only one who sees the goodness in Max. After helping his mom realize it’s time to ease up on the youngest Danby boy, Mona gets a peek into a new side of Max. Sadly, just as they start to get closer, an announcement from Mrs. Danby shakes the foundation of friendship between Max and Mona.

After Max has avoided Mona for over a week, she manages to get him to come to her birthday party. Though the night is about her, she is stuck on Max, and when the party ends, he surprises her with a present a ride to his favorite spot on their land. Mona starts to see a new side to Max, and quickly realizes the guy she thought she knew might just be a facade he uses even for his family.

It’s been 2 days since Mona wandered out alone. Who did help her that night? And will the answer be what she wants to hear, or is she just as confused by the truth?
