  • Mackenzie Tour Pro Matt Shubley (RG31)

Jam packed episode this week as we catch up on some headlines, recap the Arnold Palmer Invitational and preview the upcoming PLAYERS Championship, which starts this weekend.

But the real highlight of the episode is our interview with friend of the pod, Matt Shubley. We first spoke to Matt nearly a year ago as he was grinding it out on the Florida mini tour circuit. Since then, Matt has taken a huge step in advancing his career, successfully securing status on Canada’s Mackenzie Tour where he’ll compete in the 2020 season. In this interview we discuss the Q-School process and catch up on what’s ahead for him moving forward.

  • Muskoka Bay (RG25)

This week we kick off the episode with a recap of the trilling victory by Team Europe at the Solheim Cup. Then we shift gears and take another deep dive into a beautiful Ontario course, the iconic Muskoka Bay Club. Located in Gravenhurst, Ontario, Muskoka Bay is regularly featured as one of the country’s top courses. • Solheim Cup, Walker Cup & Korn Ferry Finals (RG24)

Though it was an off-week for the major tours, there was still plenty to catch up on. First, Eric and Brent recap the results of the Korn Ferry Tour Finals, discussing who will be moving up to the PGA Tour next season (which begins this week at the Greenbriar). Then, they cover the Walker Cup, an international amateur event that took place this past weekend at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club highlighted by a big come-from-behind win by team USA.

Finally, the episode previews the Solheim Cup, which will see the top women’s golfers from team USA face off against team Europe in a three-day match play event. The tournament kicks off on Friday (Sept. 13) and will be played in Gleneagles, Scotland.

And even though it was an off week on the PGA Tour, there was still some controversy out of the European tour at the Porsche European Open brought on by none other than Matt Kuchar. His questionable actions have once again made international headlines, this time for seemingly taking advantage of a new rule update. Click here to see video of the incident for your self.
